OTA Update 2.6.0

I think most people may have given up on it but has anyone experienced “Hey Lucid” actually being worse since this update? I said “Hey Lucid, what’s the weather outside” and it didn’t even bring up the Accu Weather window kept saying it’s not available. Said “Hey Lucid is it going to rain today” and it started blabbing on about turning on location services. Where on earth is location services in the car? I did ask it where location services are and it just brought up a random list of locations in navigation. Lol

I’ve given up. It’s useless to me. Even enunciating like I’m speaking to a child. It just doesn’t work. “Give me directions to John Wayne Airport” consistently pulls up some punk rock song “John Wayne is a Nazi” (not my sentiment; it’s an actual song) that I did not know existed or ever want to listen to again. I guess I can’t speak clearly enough for it?

I took my car out for a drive for the first time since installing 2.6.0 a few days ago. I didn’t bother to reset, and CarPlay opened up right away.

The reworked audio is a welcome surprise. The sounds that come out now are richer and clearer in tone, the whole audio environment have a less oppressive feel about it.

Based solely on this 30 minute drive, I haven’t unearthed any new or strange bggs.

You can set the car to French? I didn't know that.

Indeed you can. But you need to set your country to Canada to have the option. If you set your vehicle to America, you only have Spanish as an option.

Which brings me to a technical question for @mcr16 if they are allowed to answer:

Why is language option gated by country? I had the exact same situation on my former Tesla Model 3. Because I choose Canada to enable French, even though I live in the US, my car is getting the Canadian rollout of the updates (like the lane change assist in 2.4 was only available for me in 2.5).

Not a big deal honestly, but curious of the reason.

Last one I promise : what is the best way to submit bug reports to the software team? There’s a lot of things semi-broken when using Lucid Assistant in French

New bug with this update: When playing music from Carplay, the song displayed on the right side of dash is frozen while the carplay displays the current sing.

My honest opinion…

I would like to see the lanes with cars as default. Even when I do not have dream drive pro enabled. This lets you know if cars are snaking up behind you. I’ve noticed when DD is enabled and I try and auto-change a lane… it makes the lane red and the cars red that you would otherwise run into.

Not all would like this. Therefore it would be cool if you could enable that as your default view or not.

I also do like seeing the break lights and turn singles. Not only is it just cool, perhaps you leave a signal on and your music is loud. Maybe that would not happen anyway (as you can see the left and right camera when your signal is on).

I think you can see turn signal and break light activation even without activating drive assist - you have to just press the dream drive button.

Yes. Provided your software version is 2.6.0 and you have pressed the DreamDrive button on the steering wheel to activate ACC/DA.

I hate to sound rude but you really should consider reading the manual that is available in the car or online at the Lucid site

Hey Lucid cannot divide 3 digit numbers. It would be useful to estimate % charge remaining at end of trip.

I have no idea about this. We haven't heard much about soft-close door bugs lately. You may need new hardware.

I was told a month ago after 2.5.4 that softclose was still a bug, all my door hardware and modules have been replaced.

I will say I don't HATE the stereo any more. After the last update they broke the base system and wouldn't allow the Bass to be set low enough to turn the music up without popping the subwoofer. I am happy to report they fixed it and I can now turn the radio up without severe distortion (bass still set to minimum)

And my Lucid service rep told me that they have stopped sending out the OTA because there are some bugs that need to be resolved —as evidenced by this thread.

He anticipates that this will take a few weeks
