OTA Update 2.6.0

Does anyone see this on their app for the climate functions? I haven’t tried doing anything to fix it yet.

I’ve given up. It’s useless to me. Even enunciating like I’m speaking to a child. It just doesn’t work. “Give me directions to John Wayne Airport” consistently pulls up some punk rock song “John Wayne is a Nazi” (not my sentiment; it’s an actual song) that I did not know existed or ever want to listen to again. I guess I can’t speak clearly enough for it?
I have experienced the opposite!

"Hey Lucid!" is now so sensitive it hallucinates hearing it from the radio, or a phone call, or a conversation with my passenger :-).

"Cancel" has been my favorite request to it lately.

My car was working fine. Now after this update the app says car is offline.

Is anyone experiencing cellular connectivity issues after updating to 2.6.0?

My vehicle is offline in the app unless I connect to WiFi. I drove it around in several locations as far as 10 miles away from home (in case the AT&T tower here is down), and it’s still offline. I tried the logo reset as well as locking it and walking away for a while, but it’s still offline.

Murcie, are you still having this issue? I have the exact same problem. My car always shows offline now from the Lucid App (iOS for me) unless my car is at home and on my home WiFi. No issues prior to updating to 2.6.0.

My audio only plays out of one side of the car after charging at home he noticed, yesterday it was just the left and today it was only the right, resets fix the issue, but still annoying bc I’m driving before it happens so I have to pull over and sit somewhere

Indeed you can. But you need to set your country to Canada to have the option. If you set your vehicle to America, you only have Spanish as an option.

Which brings me to a technical question for @mcr16 if they are allowed to answer:

Why is language option gated by country? I had the exact same situation on my former Tesla Model 3. Because I choose Canada to enable French, even though I live in the US, my car is getting the Canadian rollout of the updates (like the lane change assist in 2.4 was only available for me in 2.5).

Not a big deal honestly, but curious of the reason.

Last one I promise : what is the best way to submit bug reports to the software team? There’s a lot of things semi-broken when using Lucid Assistant in French
Thank you for the question regarding language gating. I don't know the answer, but I will inquire with the appropriate team. Feel free to send bugs to me directly. I will make sure they get in front of the right people.

Hey @mcr16 ,

Little bug report for the team. The new Curb Rash warning doesn’t properly fit its placeholder when car is set to French.

Little feature request: is the background could be darker and less transparent to improve readability that would be amazing :)

Thanks!

Thank you for sharing. I will pass this to the appropriate team.

I think you can see turn signal and break light activation even without activating drive assist - you have to just press the dream drive button.
Thank you. If I follow correct, you are mentioning to single click the left button on the steering wheel? This turns on DD? I’ve done this and do see the little car icon. This is how I drive mostly. When I click the scroll/button the left, that engages ACC (and then I can see the cars in front of and next to me).

My suggestion was that we could see those cars anytime I was seeing my car. Not only when I had ACC turned on or Drive Assist.

Would others like this or am I the only one?

Bug today…

After the update my right panel (top) was about 4 seconds delayed.

I did a reboot and that did not fix.

The next day, it was not slow. So odd.

Now last night on my drive home it got sloe again. Click an icon and wait 2-3 seconds to switch screens.

When pulling up to my garage, it was a click and wait 4-6 seconds before the garage opened.

This happened again tonight.

Other bug. I have wired CarPlay (with a Kybriq device). It was working great before the update. Now, it only opens the wired CarPlay maybe 1 out of 4 times I get into the car. I unplug the Kybriq and plug back in. This does not always fix.

I find it cringing how we keep referring to bugs being "fixed" by rebooting. Rebooting doesn't fix anything, it just makes the bug go away for the moment. "Fixed" means they won't show up again, but they do, most of the time.

Like the (new?) bug I'm getting where 50% or more of the time, the Drive Assist doesn't engage. In this case not even the reboot "fix" doesn't work. Last night I was driving from LA to SD and it crapped out on me right at the start of the 3 hour drive, when I needed it the most. I stopped, rebooted, nothing. Good thing I didn't have a hammer handy ...

I called CS. The guy was very nice, but the answer was just as useful as a ChatGPT hallucination: it's going to be fixed in 2.7.0. ETA? Unknown.

One thing I learned owning this car is that each and every update introduces more bugs. It's one step fwd, 5 steps back. Maybe it's just my rotten luck to have such an unreliable car, but man, it's started getting to me ...

And my Lucid service rep told me that they have stopped sending out the OTA because there are some bugs that need to be resolved —as evidenced by this thread.

He anticipates that this will take a few weeks
Should I up date to 2.6 or wait, that is question?

As an option, sure. But I don't think I'd use it myself. Honestly, even the little car icon with it's lights is a bit distracting. Throwing extra cars into the picture would be even more distracting. Seeing all this when you have DA engaged is different, because the car is "driving" and you are supervising. But if you are doing the steering and speed control, you need have your attention focused outside the window and what's happening in front of you, not the screen.

Update.

I don’t think you’ll find many of us that have been around a while recommending skip any update.

That would be great..

Anyone w 2.6 update experience an alignment issue w the steering and dream drive? See my post today in the dream drive thread for details. But hearing now from SC that this update is messing w/ alignment. Example.. driving straight, the steering wheel is dutch about 5 degrees to the left. Was not like this prior to the update.

Your wheel alignment would never be touched by a software update. Camera calibration maybe, but wheel alignment is a physical issue.
