There is a fix in 2.6 for the connectivity issues owners have been sharing. Are you still experiencing this? If so, please let me know. Also, it is advised that owners not perform resets on their own.Yeah I called twice for Mobile service and got zero calls returned. The first time was to try to get them to do the reset so that that could possibly collect any data and also be aware of it. I left it as-is and waited. The second time was a 'courtesy' and also my second attempt to get their help so that they couldn't say I didn't try. After that, I lost patience honestly with not having Internet so I did the resets. If it happens again after the 2.6 update, I will call customer service and start escalating. Part of the issue is I don't want to drive 250 miles round trip on my lease for them to replace the TCU. That said, it's accessible and may be field replaceable. The new service location in NJ very close to me should be opening next month (fingers crossed). So, it's all a balancing act to manage how much time I spend on this for the most reasonable fix (and also trying not to get my blood boiling). But yes, I can't disagree with you on that.
If you go back and read the thread, curb rash alert is disabled when there is low lighting situations. The warning is just letting you know that this is happening.I haven't read this whole thread, so I may have missed this. I downloaded 2.6.0 yesterday, and now I'm getting an orange alert that the curb rash warning is unavailable. I understand the curb rash alert was what might have been causing my backup and birds-eye displays to malfunction and that 2.6.0 was supposed to address that. Did it do so by just disabling the curb rash alert and, if so, is this warning a permanent fixture?
Totally agree. I stopped using CarPlay navigation. It’s getting really good. For those who have abandoned the Nav with frustration over HERE maps I would suggest maybe giving it another shot.
More and more information is appearing on the map, and I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the data the other week. I was evacuated from my home in SoCal due to the rapid spread of the Hughes fire. I only had about an hour’s notice to leave the community. To my surprise, when I checked the Lucid navigation while driving out, the map accurately displayed all the recently closed-off roads in the area as a result of the fire. It appears that the data is being updated regularly.
I really like Lucid Nav. I use CarPlay for texts and calls, and occasionally for Waze. But overall? I really like Lucid nav.Totally agree. I stopped using CarPlay navigation. It’s getting really good.
I’ve never had an issue with it but over the last few months it’s definitely seen some nice improvements.I really like Lucid Nav. I use CarPlay for texts and calls, and occasionally for Waze. But overall? I really like Lucid nav.
Oh I’ve definitely had issues with it in the past. Just not the last 6 months or so. It’s seen a lot of improvements.I’ve never had an issue with it but over the last few months it’s definitely seen some nice improvements.
I agree, the native nav is getting much better. It also appears that the app team fixed the recurring POI translation error when sending a destination from Google Maps to the car. It has been working well lately, and I'm beginning to trust it again. For those who have abandoned the Nav with frustration over HERE maps I would suggest maybe giving it another shot.
Once map destinations can integrate with my calendar, I'd love to switch. When I schedule a client, I add the address to the calendar event. Then CarPlay automatically suggests the destination at the right time. This is one of my favorite CarPlay functions.I agree, the native nav is getting much better. It will go away, I presume once AA is activated. For now just consider it a bug, the resolution of which will likely make you happier than the resolution of other bugs.Got the update today..and after a couple of drives, the Apple Car Play logo is now showing up and firmly planted on my display. I've never owned a single apple product and am invested in the Android ecosystem since forever. Any way to disable this needless Apple Car play button? Again, no Apple devices owned, never connected, never attempted to be connected. Help me make it go away please...thanks!
They're just doing it to mess with us. Don't let them get under your skin....Again, no Apple devices owned, never connected, never attempted to be connected. Help me make it go away please...thanks!
I updated my Air on Saturday and the issues with connectivity with my phone started almost right away. I started getting message on app saying Mobile Key not connected. Today I tried to reset my mobile key and that didn't work. I also noticed that my fob is not working as well. Only way that I can drive my car now is opening it using my mobile app and typing in the passkey. Any help is appreciated. There is a fix in 2.6 for the connectivity issues owners have been sharing. It's not taking up space that was used by anything else. I think it was just blank. Actually, because I have the Carlinkit, I find it really useful! I just posted in the other thread.Got the update today..and after a couple of drives, the Apple Car Play logo is now showing up and firmly planted on my display. Exactly. I love this. When I'm in stop and go traffic on the freeway, I've always been a bit concerned about whether the cars behind me see brake lights and slow down in time. This is a great indicator. It’s not about whether you’re slowing down, people have been concerned that the brake lights don’t come on while regen slowing because it may not alert the driver behind them to slow down. It hasn’t always been well executed in some EVs.
Put a little black electrical tape over that spot like we used to do with check engine lights.Got the update today..and after a couple of drives, the Apple Car Play logo is now showing up and firmly planted on my display. Looking at a piece of tape on the cockpit glass would drive me crazy. I'd much rather see the CarPlay words even if I never used it.Put a little black electrical tape over that spot like we used to do with check engine lights.
