OTA Update 2.6.0

I have encountered several software issues after updating to 2.6. I always Air Logo reset the car after update.
1. My Vehicle showing offline from my iPhone app.
2. Unable to wake up the car from iPhone app.
3. Main screen went dark and I had to do a hard reset to bring it back.
4. Mobile key does not seem to work consistently even after re-pairing the mobile key
5. CarPlay does not work sometimes when connected to cable (I do not use bluetooth to connect CarPlay)

Based on previous experience, contacting support or service center for these types of issues doesn't usually help.
Any other suggestions?
Something is wrong with your car, if the vehicle continues to show offline. Call service.

My sound was horrible before the update, couldn’t have bass even at normal or it would sound like the woofer was about to pop. It was almost unusable. Had a mobile technician try to tighten the speaker and shelf it sits on, to no avail. After the update it sounds great. Actually turned the volume all the way with the bass about 75% and no rattle or anything. It’s not a large update but this has allowed me to listen to music again in my car! So I am very happy with this update. Now if it would not take so long to wake up and unlock, when I am standing right next to it.

Something like that just happened to me: once the update started the car went offline and continues to stay offline no matter if connected to wifi or not. It shows offline on the app. No other obvious issues except Lucid Assistant can't tell me the time and location and is asking to turn on the location services. I tried both logo and hard resets, but didn't work. Any solutions?

Sounds like your TCU may need a reset, or something. Call service.

Thanks! Is it over the air procedure or will require a service appointment?
Sadly service, if that’s it. (Though it can be mobile service!)

If you search the forum, there is a thread I’m definitely not going to link to (but that isn’t hard to find) if you want to try resetting it yourself.

Service really wants you to call them instead, though, because owners at the moment are not supposed to reset it themselves.

Hence: I am not recommending you do it yourself. I am recommending you call service.

What you do after that is up to you. :)

Ok, so it seems I’m not the only one having issues with cellular connectivity after updating my vehicle to 2.6.0, and the TCU needs to be restarted by service.

@Oat @kopik which model do you have? Mine is a ‘23 Pure AWD.

Got and installed the update last night. This morning, the mobile key would neither wake nor auto-unlock the car, nor let me unlock it by pushing the door handle. I used the key card, which worked flawlessly. Got in. Followed my usual post-update procedure, and did a logo reset. Had to enter my driver pin. Then deleted and re-paired my aOS mobile key, after which (as a practice) I also deleted and re-paired my Pixel 7 phone. Everything is working great now, including the neat new features, and SSP sounds really good... to me at least, but I'm no audiophile.

I only outline these steps because it is a fairly common procedure that I have to follow after an update. I don't know if it's only an aOS issue, or if iOS users sometimes have to do it too, but in the hopes the information is helpful...

Pixel 8 Pro here, new lucid since last month, didn't have to do anything like that, phone worked fine and same as before (digital key, etc). I did have to do a logo reboot to get audio to be heard but no big deal.

I hope I didn't make it sound like I thought this was a big deal. Just a 'heads-up' that it might happen. Both resets took all of five minutes, and I got a bunch of neat new enhancements. Sign me up for that any day!

Is anyone experiencing cellular connectivity issues after updating to 2.6.0?

My vehicle is offline in the app unless I connect to WiFi. I drove it around in several locations as far as 10 miles away from home (in case the AT&T tower here is down), and it’s still offline. I tried the logo reset as well as locking it and walking away for a while, but it’s still offline.

Same problem here. I emailed CS.

Nothing wrong with their car in particular. I am having the same issue, a couple others on this thread reported it as well.

I have #1 and #2, as do a couple other owners in this thread. I use the wake-up function a lot. If they can't fix what they just broke asap, I'm going to be mad.

Sometimes their servers are down or slow and wakeup suffers. This seems to be happening right now for me as well.

Don't worry, as a CarPlay user, my CarPlay is still unreliable and usually jacked up.
Lots of connection issues are still happening.

As a non-Atmos listener, the sound and bass are far far better.
My CarPlay has been pretty solid. Have you tried all of the fixes mentioned in other threads?

I love love love the new brake light indicators when Drive Assist is on. Its a small detail that I really appreciate, as I'm a situational awareness freak. From now on, I will drive with Drive Assist on, even when its not enabled/active. Perhaps this feature will find its way to the dash as an "always on" feature.

Regarding the turn signal audio directionality change... I hear no direction change. The sound in my car remains centered above the steering wheel. Further more the turn signal cadence is randomly variable- would drive a drummer crazy. I wonder if anyone else has noticed either of these issues. I've done several infotainment reboots. As I consider this a very small detail, I only mention it as an observation.

found the notes for the sounds update

Sound System Enhancements

  • We have refined the audio system, improving tone controls to allow further bass reduction. Additionally, we have enhanced the center channel tuning during Dolby Atmos playback, improving vocal reproduction.
  • The sound of the turn signals inside the car are now synchronized with the direction of the turn signal, so the left turn signal sound will come from the left side of the car, and the right signal sound from the right side.
I have the update installed, but the turn signals still seem to come from the area of the cockpit display, without any difference for left or right turn signal. Has anyone experience the signals coming from different sides of the care? Is there a setting required to enable this feature?

It is subtle, but yes. There is no setting for it.
