OTA Update 2.6.0

I got it yesterday. 90 minutes to install. No problems with the installation. The music sounds amazing, and I love the brake light and turn signal display. I always was wondering when the brake lights actually came on.

Is anyone experiencing cellular connectivity issues after updating to 2.6.0?

My vehicle is offline in the app unless I connect to WiFi. I drove it around in several locations as far as 10 miles away from home (in case the AT&T tower here is down), and it’s still offline. I tried the logo reset as well as locking it and walking away for a while, but it’s still offline.

The 2.6 update broke Profiles. Mine is fine, but my wife's is badly broken. She got in the car, and nothing happened. The car asked for the PIN. The avatar on her profile was mine. Everything worked before the update.

Have you tried a reset? I always recommend a logo reset after any update.

I finally got the update. I agree that the center channel for Dolby Atmos content using Tidal is much better balanced with the other channels now. Definitely a great tweak to the sound system.

reset?

Do you mean the steering wheel buttons + brake pedal nuke reset?
Buttons or logo reset

There are many computer systems in the Lucid Air. Just like any computer, these systems sometimes require a reset. There are several different known resets.

•Sleep: This reset will occur when the car is locked. by simply walking away from the car for more than thirty minutes, it will go to sleep and when it next wakes up a reset will have occurred. You can disable proximity sensing of the Mobile Key or Fob by locking with the Key Card (see below for more information about locking and unlocking).

•Logo Reset: This is similar to restarting your computer. Go to Settings, About and look for the “Air” logo in the upper left of the Pilot Panel. Press on the center of the logo steadily for 15-20 seconds and you will see a “Powering off” message appear in the upper right panel. Release the button. Allow the car to reboot.

•“Bobby” Reset: This is most often used if the Pilot Panel is non-responsive but the upper screen is responding normally. Tap your profile picture in the upper left hand corner of the right dashboard screen and choose Guest Profile. After the Guest Profile loads, tap the button again and load your desired profile.

•Customer Service Reset: If needed, contact Customer Care (888-995-8243) either by phone or text and explain the situation. Customer Care is able to remotely reset the car.

If you are going to quote the Lucidupdates.com website, it would at least be courteous to cite your source, which is https://www.lucidupdates.com/faq.html.

I hope it fixes the sound volume. The range is about three clicks - mute, too soft, too loud, and then eardrum breaking. One could probably hear the car sound system in the next state if the volume was all the way up.
Seriously. There used to be sooo many levels, but then it changed to become just a few that were tolerable.

I started the update from my phone 30 minutes ago. It’s currently showing ‘vehicle offline’ and 0% progress although it says “software updating”. Should I do something?

You should kill you app and reopen it and then wait. Everything is fine.

When you say “kill” the app do you mean uninstall it? I tried closing the app and rebooting my phone but that didn’t work.

Just installed the update this morning, sound quality after driving ten minutes is TERRIBLE. Sound level dropped and sounds very very distorted. I bet this is a new bug.
Scheduled charge for 2:00 AM, for some reason it started charging at 5:30 AM this morning, new bug as well?
Shame on Lucid for not mentioning camera fixes. Are they denying that they had a major safety issue where cameras lagged for a second, probably causing some crashes? Take ownership, admit you had a bug and admit that it was fixed. Pathetic Lucid team......

Mine showed that too while the update was installing. When I went to the car afterwards, everything was fine.

Hmmm…over a year ago I suggested that after every update, one should reset their car by any of the available methods, a la Tesla. Any Tesla owner knew then, and knows even now, to reset their car after downloading a software update.

The more tech-savvy types on this forum - I won’t mention any names - blew off my suggestion, one even asking why doing such a thing was even necessary.

And here we are today, with this thread rife with suggestions to do a post update reset.

I’m not miffed or anything.
*flouncing off in an obvious miff…*
