If that's correct, then Lucid has some 'splainin to do"At one of the local events, a Lucid executive shared that Air and Gravity software development teams are two separate teams and development of Gravity software shouldn't interfere with Air software development."
oof, looks like I am wrong. Just read this in an older UX 3.0 thread:
"At one of the local events, a Lucid executive shared that Air and Gravity software development teams are two separate teams and development of Gravity software shouldn't interfere with Air software development."
That statement is true (and nothing new), but doesn't mean that Air won't be getting (some of? most of?) UX 3.0. It's a good thing the dev teams are separate, otherwise we wouldn't have been getting any updates for the past couple years. Hopefully at some point the Air team will be porting things back from Gravity and consolidating, at which point there might be a general infotainment team for everything shared, a Gravity infotainment team for Gravity-specific bits, and an Air infotainment team for Air-specific bits. For all we know little under-the-hood pieces of Gravity software may have already been making their way into Air for the past year, and they're just waiting for Gravity code freeze to start porting back more.If that's correct, then Lucid has some 'splainin to do
Makes sense, you need 2 teams. I'm sure the next iteration of the Air will have updated hardware/screens when they can finally merge both teams.oof, looks like I am wrong. Just read this in an older UX 3.0 thread:

Got the update 2.16.15 today it took one hour to update.Zipcube posted this in the Next update thread. "next update coming is 2.6.15 per mobile service techs."
Is the Lucid Air getting any of 3.0 UX?? its center screen is different plus the Air doesn’t have a heads up display. Will Lucid have an update program in order to give the Air a heads up display. I am guessing the main screen can’t be updated.
Most of UX 3.0 is software improvements, so yes. It won't look exactly the same, but a lot of it will translate to our screens just fine. No, I don't think there is any chance we'll get HUDs or new screens in old Airs. In future model years, sure. Nobody retrofits stuff like that. Even if it were technically feasible, there's no way it would make any kind of economical sense with the amount of development effort and labor involved. Is the Lucid Air getting any of 3.0 UX?? its center screen is different plus the Air doesn’t have a heads up display. It’s a North America vs UK thing as usual; OED even marks it as “N. American”.Argh; "heads-up display". Lucid was doing so well sticking to "head-up display" How many heads do we have again? Is this intended for Zaphod Beeblebrox?
The confusion comes from people conflating the terms "head-up display" and "heads up".
Don't even get me started on "on-premise software deployments" (vs. "on-premises").It’s a North America vs UK thing as usual; OED even marks it as “N. American”.
For example, according to Merriam-Webster, “heads-up display” is correct and “head-up display” doesn’t exist in the dictionary.
