First of all, I didn’t take home delivery, I rushed to get paperwork done and drove GT out of Houston Delivery Center.

This would realistically be my first delivery. I let them pick her up last Friday to troubleshoot 12V and DA brought it back this morning and SC uploaded 3 more OTA update versions that I was behind. I had few German cars before, but never service bring back to your door, that is bc EVs don’t really need much service. But first year car model, sure, there will be some hiccup, it goes with any brand. If they can enhance more on software (imo not bad), give more features and stability, with their tech and service, this would be BEST car to own out there. Anyway, I fxxking’ ❤️ this car!!!

Because of this forum, I’ve learned the car came with owner’s manual which I missed at delivery. They FedEx it and threw in some batteries. Cool, eh?! 🎁

It really depends on your local dealerships. My BMW and Mercedes dealerships offer a valet service. I have not had to go to the dealer for the past 4-5 years. Both dealerships send a valet with a loaner vehicle and trade cars while they do the service. After they are done, they bring my car back and take the loaner.

Do they charge you any fee for the loaner?

No fee from either dealership. And that was even considering they were providing a loaner on a 2014 BMW M5, well out of warranty.

Lucid can't compete with my local BMW dealer on level of service, but I do not expect them to either.

One of my local MB dealerships does the same. But they are considerably more expensive than the others.

Curious what Lucid will charge for non-warranty service visits.
