Losing Tire Pressure

I'm curious, can you go into Discount Tire for a set of OEM tires of varying pre-existing mileage and purchase a road hazard warranty? If so how much does it cost and what does it cover - is it prorated like a bad battery warranty or full no-cost,l no limits replacement on an event?

Yes. This is what I did. They’ll inspect the tires and price accordingly, but mine was like $260 or something for all four. Maybe $290? I can’t remember; something like that.

Covers any and all road hazards up to the tire needing to be replaced at 4/32” or 2/32” (I can’t remember).

Not prorated. Full replacement, but the certificate doesn’t transfer over, so if you want the new tire warrantied it’s an extra $100.

Haven’t bought a tire for my air yet but that’s in the range of 1 tire for my corvette. I don’t see the value on a “what-if” - do they cover a 2x or come fix the car on the spot? Do they cover all 4 tires for their life down to tread depth?

Along with tire warranties, both Tire Rack and Discount Tire provide mobile tire changing services in some locations. For instance, if you order a new set of tires, the mobile van will bring the tires to the location you designate and mount and balance them for you on the spot. I'm not sure what the arrangements are for emergency situations, though. The details are available on both websites.

They do cover all 4 tires for their life down to tread depth. To get your replacement tire covered it’s $100.

I just did that last month for my Corvette - got some hard to find Michelins via tire rack and they were shipped to a local discount tire mobile installer who installed them complete with new tpms sensors in my driveway. It was very nice to not sit in a waiting room for hours drinking stale coffee and reading 2 year old car and driver magazines. It’s a great service. It cost a little extra though - I think like 150 or so.

No My tire was on the west coast. Have never hit a pothole. Our Roads are better. No Extended Warranty, Just the Mfg Warranty of a relatively brand new tire. I actually drive around bad road spots, if you saw me drive you would see that. I built cars as a youngster, and the rule was " take care of your car and it will take care of you".

Yup - the Left handed ones? Colonel Mustard did it in the library with a Candlestick
No but apparently disgruntled workers slash the insides of tires. The fact that these Bubbles on the drivers side that should never encounter a curb shows this if you examine the photo as evidence.

And even if this is sabotage, how does the OP expect Lucid to cover it? How is this an issue with the tire or Lucid? It's time to call your insurance and file a police report, in case your insurance needs it.
Lucid initiates the warranty with Pirelli. If they want their customers to respect their practices. New Car owners should not be the ones left holding the bag. Especially with the $$ amount we put down to own one of these cars,.. which are generally pretty good cars if I might say so, myself

This has to do with the depth of the cut and the wiggly-ness at the tail end of the cut. How would you recommend disgruntled workers to hold their box cutter or paring knives?
