If Bill Alpert saw this message, I bet the headline would be "Chief information officer admin of the Lucid owner's forum states that the upcoming Lucid Gravity, which starts at 200k has "no logic," indirectly suggests Lucid is going bankrupt"

The R1S is a 7,000 pound SUV that is capable of crossing the Rio Grande and drives way better than any 7 seat SUV I’ve ever driven. It drives like an SUV, because it’s an SUV, not a crossover. The R1S is in mass production and an order that is placed today will be fulfilled in 2025, if the buyer is lucky. The market has spoken about how it feels about the R1S and Lucid would be wise to view them as their sole competitor, because they are.

We can’t really compare the R1S to the Gravity because the Gravity doesn't exist and there is almost nothing meaningful posted from Lucid about it. The assumption that the market would pay 150k+ and ignore tech deficiencies was a bad one when Lucid rolled out their early models and it would be ill advised for them to think the public will forgive it with the Gravity. I’m sure it will drive “better” than the R1S, but the typical SUV buyer won’t notice, won’t care and at even the same price will choose the R1S because if the overall utility and the rock solid tech. Until Lucid can start offering more stable and better tech, they have to be price conscious. Otherwise they will repeat all of the same mistakes they made with current line up.

I don’t often quote myself, but I’m here to agree with my August self!

It’s confirmed, the Gravity price model takes dead aim at Rivian and the competition is going to be great for the consumer. I would not be surprised if Rivian decides to roll out CarPlay, which is a big plus for Lucid.

I totally agree with you, not just EV tech, Info-tech is also very important on those previous screen real estate.

I think the icon on the bottom is that yoga app but the one at the top looks like Rivian’s dash cam icon!

I think that yoga app is the new Lucid Sanctuary, I want that Karaoke app. Landscape view means you can watch YouTube down the road. It’s good to put Lucid FAQ and TechTalk in YouTube videos onto that screen. Tesla did, it’ll be vastly welcomed and better than just Owner’s Manual.

That bottom bottom, the Throttle House people used that for Kareoke or Meditation.

As for the top button, that button looks like a button mapping for custom configuration (remappable button) at least it looks similar. Fingers crossed that you're correct. I WANT SENTRY!

Competing with like Lamborghini Urus and the Ferrari SUV? I honestly don't see the same appeal because the reason why Porsche made cheap SUV's was to make an affordable car that they can then funnel the money into their high end models. Their SUV's saved their company.

In the same way, dedicating resources to a super sport SUV which a super small audience like the Air Sedan or Sapphire doesn't make a whole lot of sense from this financial future perspective.

But if the truck is truly on their horizon, maybe that's next.
