Correct. The name Dream Edition came later. The 5k was for what ended up being my GT.Was a "First edition" the original name for a DE? Was the 5000 for your GT that you currently have, or for another trim?
I'm not sure that's how it works. I know when I made my original deposit, they said it was being placed into an escrow account, so I'd always be able to get my money back no matter what happened to the company (ie if it went belly up before delivery, I wouldn't be out my 5k). I assume they'd do the same with Gravity deposits, so the amount collected is not usable towards company debts/costs.If we assume 80k preorders(R1S level, highly optimistic) and an average deposit of 700, then lucid would be getting 56 million. This could be used for more hires, and then the money coming from people who buy the high end dream editions should keep the new employees in the company and not getting laid off.
