Gravity Delivery Discussion

As promised, my SA delivered an update today. CA EPA docs haven't been signed off yet, but will happen by 1st week of June. Customer car deliveries to CA will start happening immediately thereafter, so I'm expecting my car around 2nd week of June.

Forgot to add - They also stated that a lot of the cars were already built and sitting on their lots in AZ, ready for immediate transport. As soon as the approval/signoff comes through by EPA, cars should start shipping out immediately.

Just got word that my GT Gravity is in production (Denver area). Aurora Green, Tahoe interior.
Denver area as well, confirmed VIN last Thursday 5/15 and showing In Production. Black with Tahoe, 21/22 wheels. Assuming nothing for tech or outlets for you as well?

This would upset me, as I was told I’d almost certainly have it by 6/5. Once my rate expires on 6/5, I’ll have to go search again.

You’re probably right, but I’m still hopeful.

Talked to the Legacy West studio today to get more info about the deliver process...apparently my DE is already in Houston! I guess they send it there for PDE first before moving it to Dallas. He said it's very realistic that I could have it by next week! Anyone else close to getting theirs?

Hope they aren't waiting for Google certification.

It's pretty poor form to have this be yet another thing that is holding up deliveries in CA. To not even have all the EPA docs signed off 5+ months after production started is either extreme disorganization or It just reaffirms that Lucid had no intention of selling & delivering these vehicles any time soon when they opened orders. I think people would have been more forgiving if they just said "the car is delayed 6 to 7 months" rather than make out this was all part of the plan, especially when Marc doubled down on the Q4 earnings call and said its business as usual when it related to Gravity production.

I live about 1/2 hour from Houston studio. Want me to go by and give it a pre-inspection?

I'm looking forward to you guys taking delivery of your Gravity and posting your reviews (the good, the bad, and the ugly).

Yeah, I’m not sure I believe this for that reason. It’s certainly possible something changed with the present EPA - as we know, the present administration is prone to I-thought-of-this-thing-last-night syndrome. If it was the CalEPA, it’s also possible things are changing there. I have no idea.

But I’d want at least another verification of this; I haven’t heard anything about it from anyone else. I don’t think @suyoungman is lying, to be clear.

I guess we’ll see.

Haha... well, at least it would validate that they are telling the truth and moving along with deliveries!
Texted my sales advisor with some trade in updates and mentioned the studio rep told me the car was in Houston. My sales guy then told me he thinks the car is still in AZ...now I don't know who to believe!🤦‍♂️

Was previously told my DE would enter production on May 20th. It did not. Still just "order confirmed".

I reached out to my SA. He said "there was a delay". Very helpful!

Going for my test drive Saturday in Tysons Corner, VA.

It is frustrating to be told multiple targets and have them turn out to not be true. I'd much rather have an accurate timeline up front, than to have it repeatedly pushed back for nebulous reasons.

It’s also clear that this isn’t just a customer-facing issue. It seems like Lucid leadership is keeping delivery advisors and other staff in the dark as well. They’re being put in a tough spot, unable to offer clear answers or meaningful guidance—which only adds to the frustration on all sides.

I’ve seen others in this group express similar concerns about the lack of communication, only to be dismissed or treated like they were overreacting. Some have moved on and bought other vehicles. For those of us who genuinely love the product and believe in the brand, it’s disappointing to feel taken for granted by the communication side of the company.
