Gravity Delivery Discussion

It’s one of the two delivered in AZ, the total delivered in 2025 is still two by my count.

Sorry if I got your hopes up.

Didn't really get my hopes up about our delivery. That's gonna happen when it happens. But I was hoping we'd get some driving impressions, particularly about the Dream's power curve.

Can you confirm the charge cable was included? If so, which plug?

The Dream frunking special
Are those wine tumblers, a corkscrew and a place for a bottle of wine in the case? That’s useless for me but an interesting idea, I guess, for those who wish to drink and drive.

I thought every Gravity gets the cushion for the frunk as without it, you can’t close off the frunk to use it.

Drink and frunk. The car fits 7 people; just because the driver isn’t drinking doesn’t mean the other 6 can’t. :p

I’m not sure what you mean; the frunk works perfectly fine without the cushion. The hood itself closes off the frunk. They’ll likely sell additional accessories for people who don’t want the seat.

Really appreciate these images! I’d hoped the Dream Edition would come with the frunk seat cushion, so nice to have that confirmed. Had no idea what else to expect, so am pleasantly surprised by the other goodies 😃
I am only confirming what the first delivery in AZ got, none of this confirms everyone will get one…1 does not a pattern make.

Boo, but thanks for clarifying. So many things would be better. Extra charging cable, roof rack, etc. Oh well.
Two adapters, definitely no roof rack. Those kill the range anyways, rear hitch is much more economical according to car and driver tests.

I can see why Lucid would not include certain expensive accessories, as many owners would never use them. For example, I would never install a roof rack. I also doubt I would ever make use of the frunk seat. For securing front cargo, I would find the frunk storage bins that Lucid is selling in the accessories store more useful. Even though I will use a charging cable, many owners have already installed hard-wired wall chargers, and other owners (probably fewer Gravity buyers, though) might not have home charging available.

I like the approach Lucid used with later Airs to provide a credit that buyers could apply to whatever accessories they deemed most useful personally.

Pure speculation, but I would rank the most widely-useful accessories to be:

1. Charge cable (which HQ sales confirmed will come with the Dream)
2. Canopy sunshades (which HQ sales says will not be included, so which I have already bought separately)
3. Frunk seat

Totally agree a credit would be best and with your list.

I use a roof rack on both my X and R1S and they barely effect range. Granted, I am using them for bikes, snowboards, etc and not a huge box, but their impact on range is grossly overstated in my experience.

I agree with your assessment. I would much prefer they include the sun shades, rear cargo cover, and frunk bins over the wine bottle holder and picnic blanket. I am pleased they are including the frunk seat as I suspect that accessory will be pricey and it does hold your frunk cargo in place to keep it from falling out the front. Alternatively, an accessory credit would be easiest for them as then everyone could buy what they need.

I literally said the same thing, and then I found myself using it all the time. On a leisure trip, down CA-1/PCH, pulling over at a random beautiful cliff and hanging out in the frunk for a few minutes is a fantastic rest. I thought it was a gimmick too, and it *only* works because it’s so comfortable.

@TribbleTrouble definitely loves it more. The thing I don’t see myself ever using? Sanctuary mode. Meanwhile, she loves it.

To each their own, I guess, haha

I did put it on my list of guesstimates of which Gravity accessories most people would want. I remain as surprised as I was at the time the seat was announced at how much reviewers go on about it and still do. But I have long since accepted that I'm an outlier on this.

I did try it out, though, in one of the studios and agree that it is surprisingly comfortable.

I'll definitely want Gravity's roof bars (for the occasional PVC pipe, lumber, rebar) and likely the roof sunshade. Hope they'll be available to buy with referral credits.

I just got an email from my SA and I have a pre production vin. White GT no HUD. I asked him what the pre production vin meant and he informed me that it means they are pulling the parts for my gravity. He said that normally takes about a week and then I will get a vin when production starts. He said should be a total of 6 weeks for delivery.

I have a white Dream on order (obviously with HUD). How come I didn’t get a call? I thought I would get priority ordering the Dream - especially since I’m a current air Dream owner 🤔 At least they’re building white cars now.

Do you mind sharing when you placed your order?

Sort of interesting... So I had a day 1 GT order that I upgraded to a DE once they announced the decontent on early deliveries and the implied promise of early/first delivery

Well, seeing GT's going into production (based on drone footage, comments here, etc.) I went ahead and placed another order for a GT as I am honestly indifferent to GT vs DE at this point. Maybe 1 hour after submitting my refundable GT order, I got a text from my Advisor asking if I meant to order 2nd vehicle, or what I was doing... I explained basically what I just stated, I am interested in either, whichever they can deliver first, the GT being refundable so no real loss if that ends up produced first.

Point to this - made me feel somewhat better seeing/knowing they are getting notifications and/or paying attention to what we as consumers are doing with our Gravity orders. Knowing this was probably just some automated prompt that was sent to the advisor that a pre-assigned customer made a change should give me less of a warm fuzzy, but better than no acknowledgement at all - which honestly was my expectation.
