Gravity Delivery Discussion

That's what my portal showed up until today (I rechecked today after my sales guy called and now it shows software versions). Apparently my DE is on 3.1.7. Pardon the sloppy cutout. And, in case you're curious, if you click the software version link...it takes you to an error page.
Thanks so much! This is good to know! I'm guessing once they are getting ready to deliver they will start pushing updates?

That means your vehicle hasn't been completed yet. I'm guessing the vast majority of people here waiting are getting the same message. Some have actually seen OTA updates listed. I posted about this already with a response given to my SA. You can search for that post.
Thanks so much! This is really helpful!

Per my SA, inspections are taking 2+ weeks post-assembly, and vehicles need service clearance before transport. My car just passed inspection, so it'll be scheduled for transport once enough vehicles are cleared to be sent to my area.

Is that inspection at the factory or part of the pre delivery inspection? My SA seemed to imply that unless there was damage in transit that my car would probably be in Houston for only about 1 day before being transported to Dallas (unless he's misinformed).

Unless the PDI process has significantly improved that’s an extremely short timeline. From when my Air was on the trick in AZ to pickup at Beverly Hills it was 2 weeks.

Given you see a software version (i.e. your car is online), I suspect you're already in this post-assembly shakedown phase. I'm glad to hear that they're working hard to make sure everything is as perfect as it can be before it leaves the factory, honestly.

It's possible that all the PDI work is being centrally performed for these initial deliveries.

Very happy for you @DrZorro
Really hope there are going to be some real deliveries. Please do share your experience.

As of now tbh not a great experience. Very disappointed as an investor. Hopeful that your gravity deliver will be on time to help boost the morale.

I share the same sentiment. I hope my SA is actually correct this time about the delivery timeline and it goes smoothly!

I hope your SA isn’t embellishing and you do actually take delivery as it’s hopefully a sign that things are moving in the right direction.

No disrespect to you as you have no control in the matter but it’s pretty poor form on Lucid’s part to not only have stated existing owners would take delivery priority but it also looks like you only ordered early March. Meanwhile, those who ordered November 7th and upgraded in February still can’t get a delivery date. This whole delivery process makes no sense at all.

I hope so too. He did call me out of the blue today to tell me according to the system it was physically on a truck and scheduled to be arriving in Houston tomorrow. (And I'm not someone who regularly bugs him or checks in...the last text we had was about 2 weeks ago when he said he'd contact me when he had more info after the first delivery false alarm).

I completely agree that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the deliveries. You are correct that I did not order on Day 1 in Nov (or even close to it) and I'm not a current Lucid owner. I also assumed the green ones would be the first to be delivered. That being said, I not getting my hopes up until I get word the car is actually in Dallas. I'm kinda expecting another "oops, we jumped the gun again" phone call before Friday. The only thing I can think of that may be expediting the delivery of my vehicle specifically is that when he called me the first time telling me it was going to be in at the very end of May, he had me do the KBB trade in process which has a fairly quick expiration. He later ended up apologizing that I was going to have to repeat that process because it was a false alarm--however, I'm still in the time/mileage window for about another week to avoid having to go through that hassle again. Perhaps he pulled strings to save me from that?

When is your gravity supposed to be delivered? I am very, very frustrated by the lack of communication. I have. A Dream Gravity on order and I have not heard anything

Mine? Sometime between next month and next year...

I think there are only 2 forum members who have real estimated delivery dates in the next ~week, and a few dozen who have been told "end of the month".

I was skeptical of 20,000 by the end of the year. This doesn't seem to be trending in the right direction.

Life has also changed for me, and if they had a non hud Gravity available now I might even jump on it.

I doubt they’ll produce 20,000 Gravity this year, much less deliver them. I’d be happy with 100 being delivered in Q2.

Based upon AI search results, I believe that the approximate number of Lucid Airs produced since the beginning is 20,000. Does that figure seem accurate? While it is possible that 20,000 Gravity vehicles could be produced this year, If they miss that target (Wall Street typically disfavors "misses", even relatively small ones) I hope that the stock price doesn't fall too much further. Would it be a fair statement to say that the current demand for the Gravity has exceeded the demand for the Air at launch?

The 20,000 guidance is for deliveries of both Air and Gravity. If Air is running at 1000 per month, that means 8000 Gravity this year. We will see at the next earnings call if Lucid maintains the 20k guidance for the year. The Gravity ramp does seem behind plan.

Thanks for the clarification. That call is in early August, correct?
