Gravity Delivery Discussion

Same for me. VIN assigned and car is supposedly built, but no word on delivery yet.
Same, SA says car is built but no word on delivery after initially saying mid June

I think June 30 is end of quarter so I’m hoping it should be delivered before then

Me too! I sold my car, so we’re down to one car now. It’s fine for this month because we’re traveling but it will be a bit troublesome next month.

Same here - 1 car at the moment, have a road trip planned from July 1st for 6 😂

Have any software updates shown up yet for your vehicle?

SA shared today that the vehicles at Casa Loma haven't been released yet, as their service team is performing additional, hopefully final, testing to ensure a smooth delivery and minimize any issues once the cars arrive. They didn't specify the exact type of testing, but did say that once the cars are approved, they' can be shipped to Socal on the same day, with potential release the day after.

No VIN for me yet but SA mentioned he's hopeful I'll have one by mid to late June, though he's thinking delivery is likely in July. Costa Mesa SC.

Not sure how much I believe that based on how long its taking people with actual VINs but who knows.

I think your SA is telling you what you want to hear. I don’t see a car coming your way in June or July without a VIN at this stage.

Mine shows two software updates, and two manual links, but all the owner's manual links are broken and the software versions bring up very, very old Lucid Air notes. 🤷‍♂️

I received the "nearing lease end" email from a Lucid Sales Advisor. I asked about Gravity timing and they said around 8 weeks for what it's worth 🙃

I was an optimist a few weeks ago based on the flyover pictures, but now I'm finding it extremely unlikely that we're going to see a lot of deliveries (DE or otherwise) by "end of June". This would require a huge transition of In Production vehicles to completed in the next week, as well as warp-speed transportation, delivery prep, and registration. Some more clarity would be welcome (but probably not forthcoming) and, as before, we'll get our cars when we get them.

I think Lucid could use a CEO that sleeps on the factory floors for a few months ...
That didn’t help Tesla’s manufacturing! Cars still have panel gaps and creaky sounds, etc.

Based on the flyover pictures, Lucid needs a logistics person to get cars through production and delivered. What if all those Gravity are just cardboard cutouts meant to throw us off? 🤣

I know it's laughable and most people know the CEO would literally not be on the factory floor assembling cars but it's about the optics it sends to the public when things aren't going to plan. Peter did it when Air was having delivery issues but where's Marc? nowhere near Arizona it seems.

Personally, I don't think it's a good look that Lucid can't get the Gravity out but Marc and some of the Exec team have been off traveling overseas for photo ops. Marc said in March that deliveries would begin end of April and ramp up in May. It's now almost mid-June and people still can't get delivery estimates. He should be at the factory seeing first hand what's going on and if a quick decision to change something is needed then the man with the power to do so is already onsite to make it happen not off in a different timezone.

This tactic of delivering 2 or 3 cars based on milestones they've publicly stated is wearing thin.

I can absolutely guarantee that is not the only thing they have been engaged in, and I think you probably know that too, heh.

(I do hear your point though)

Exactly! And don't forget -- during that period, there were cars delivered (Model 3) with wildly mis-matched interior door panels, and other missing features. For example, a car with a white interior would have a black interior door panel on the driver side, and a (proper) white interior door panel on the passenger side. Like, how'd they miss that?! Something so obvious to customers that took delivery, but somehow made it all the way through production, and whatever QA Tesla did on those cars.
