Gravity Bugs / Issues

You, too, huh? I'm no software engineer, but I can't even guess how this could be happening.
Perhaps there is a new faster CPU and memory upgrade coming for Gravity that would fix these problems?! 🤣

Not intending to bring up Homelink discussion, but this is GGT specific.

Have folks with a GGT configured Homelink? Only asking because there was chatter about whether it was free for DE but would be a cost for GGT. I expect it may be free for everyone for now.
It was in mine and I had no problems setting it up.

I have a GGT and it has worked from the first try.

Yes I did that when we reset the profiles during the mobile tech visit. My partner is Polish, so we set his profile to metric displays and mine to Imperial displays.
How can your partner drive a car that shows km/h but all speed limits on roads are in miles? Did your partner memorized typical mph limits as km/h? I also came from Poland (not that it matters) and I swapped to using mph immediately as it doesn't make any sense to stick to metric system.
But that doesn't change the fact that your experience is bad and there is a bug in the software.

It's more about liking temperature readings in Celsius. He is sort of intrigued by Florida weather (good and bad) and checks temps throughout the day, both where we are and in texting to his kids in Poland and his best friend, another Pole, in Chicago about their weather. It's just easier to keep those conversations on metric ground. The metric speed readings just come along for the ride. He almost never drives faster than surrounding traffic, anyway, and just doesn't pay much attention to posted speed limits or a speedometer (unless I'm driving, of course).

It's been a week now since our mobile tech came out to assess the issues we're having with the bright HUD ghosts dancing across the windshield, the navigation and GPS systems not working, and the second row seats rattling and squeaking. The tech is staying in touch and as on top of things as he always has done, but he's not getting any word from Lucid about when or how they're going to address any of these issues.

We've had this car over a month now, and I'm starting to wonder if Lucid is any position right now to address the problems with Gravities they're putting in the field, whether it be hardware shortages, software problems they can't figure out, or internal debates about what problems take what priority.

We've already canceled one trip we had planned to take in the Gravity, and I'm now getting worried about a trip we have scheduled to start September 9.

I had the dreaded second row seat squeak and mobile service was able to fix it today. We took two test drives with the seats in various states of disassembly for him to narrow down where the squeak came from. He was able to fix it by replacing a zip tie and using some substitute felt tape. I wish I could remember the technical description for the parts that were rubbing, but he took videos of the noise and should have a picture of the fix. PM me and I will share contact details for you to give your tech. He said it was the worst squeaking he had heard from any Lucid seats and by the time he was done my cabin was completely quiet. It is so nice now!

I am impressed with Lucid mobile service. My tech had a calm and methodical troubleshooting approach that I associate with deep expertise and he was willing to spend several hours on site to address all of my hardware issues. I was concerned about living ~150 miles from a service center before I bought Gravity, but mobile service really does make this a non-issue.

Based on your description of the fix, all your tech needed was some bubble gum and he would’ve been MacGyver! 😂

Do you have to go through this drill every time a second-row passenger adjusts the seat? Or when the seats are moved forward to access the third row? (They return to a preset position when the backrest button is pressed again, but not to the custom position you might have set.)

I assume you view this as a temporary measure and not something you're going to live with in a vehicle this expensive?
Truth be told I haven't had anyone in the back seats or moved them since I got it "fixed". I do plan to talk to the service techs about it when they come out next week to do some other work on my car. Ideally, I will get it fixed permanently at some point once they figure out the best way of fixing it. I don't usually have too many people in my car so I'm willing to wait it out if it only boils down to a zip tie and some tape rather than replacing the entire row of seats...which may not actually even fix the problem if they all do that.

I'm sorry. I was born and raised in Georgia, and I simply cannot accept as workable a repair done without duck tape and/or WD-40.

I'm one of the Gravity owners that the 3.2.2 software update failed. Still waiting for the new push notification to relaunch the update but I've been staring at the "Software Update Failure" message in my center display since last week. Car drives fine but any ideas on how to suppress the warning message? I tried a reboot and it just comes right back.

Have you tried calling them back? When I needed them to do the push, they put it in right away. It can take up to a couple of hours to hit your car after that. Maybe you got a bad customer Rep who just left you hanging and hasn't done anything about it....

Yes. Twice. They told me I just need to be patient because they haven't released the build to be pushed back out yet. If I knew the push was imminent then I would just wait but I've been staring at the warning message for almost a week at this point so that why I'm asking if I can suppress the message.

Can you take a picture of it? I haven’t seen it before but you can usually swipe them away…

Have you tried the steering wheel reboot? Might get you back to the Home Screen at least.

I have tried the soft reboot with no luck. I'm drivable so it's not that big an issue unless that update is delayed.

Perhaps a dumb question, but if your car goes to SC, do you get a loaner? I hate the Uber credits I get on our X.
yes. I've been driving the Air GT as my loaner for the past 3+ weeks. Costa Mesa SC.
