Up with a redesigned steering wheel. I believe that is one of the more common issues discussed here. Maybe people just buy these as toys but for those of us who want this as our everyday car hopefully do not want to drive with a squeaky steering. Improvements in subsequent years are normal so why not a redesigned Windshield.

Sorry dude but I don’t know where you’ve come up with thing that the wheel is broken and the windshield is broken. A very small number of users (not me) have said there’s some wheel noise, but almost all don’t have that problem. Same goes for the windshield. It’s weird cuz some of those who have had the misfortune of not getting the car yet have invented reasons to delay getting their car while simultaneously being upset they haven’t got their car. You’re literally complaining about anticipated problems in something that you do not have, thus can’t complain about. My word of advice is REEEELAXXX. The car will come and you’re gonna be happy with it. Try ordering a Taycan or any other high end EV right now, you’ll probably have to wait even longer. It sucks, I agree, but this is the reality in which we live right now and if you just accept that for the time being and acknowledge this is not going to be like this forever then you’ll be far less tweaked over all this.
 
FWIW Lucid is taking steps to improve. They removed Peter Hocholdinger as VP of production, as someone has to be held responsible for the QC lapses that have led to post-delivery service visits. Do these issues get fixed overnight? No. I do feel bad for the unlucky ones caught in this (my black Tahoe 19” was 4.5 weeks from VIN to delivery), but every indicator points to Lucid attempting to identify problems and improve, not to screw customers.

Ah, so you were the Quantum Gray that was delivered. I took my GT in yesterday to get the windshield replaced and we were talking about how deliveries had restarted. And the very first one after the pause was the Gray that John showed me a picture of a month ago (I think). Congrats. Welcome to the board and welcome to the AZ group. Looking forward to seeing you around town!

Or maybe like me, you have ordered the 20" wheels. Whether we get them is a different thing.
 
I paid for my lucid 6 weeks ago and have not received it yet. I know...I have heard all the "your an idiot for paying before the delivery..." comments. I was, apparently, the first car caught up in the new inspection process. I'm a VERY HAPPY MAN!. I'm glad they are taking time to get it right and are willing to take the heat to do it right. These guys are working around the clock to fix it. My DA messaged me the other night at 10pm to offer to refund my payment until the car is ready. NOT A CHANCE....patience is a virtue. Shout out to Omar, my DA. The guys a rock star. Keep up the stellar work LUCID.

Yeah man, their service people are stellar also. Their Northeast service coordinator Markus has answered my texts at 9pm before (I told him to not respond until normal working hours, as I was only getting around to answering his previous text, and he responded anyway and said he was still working). He also called just to make sure I’d scheduled the recall visit and didn’t wait too long to get it checked out. It is very HARD to find any good employees for any job right now, especially ones who care about doing a good job, so while I can only comment on my personal experience, literally 100% of Lucid staff I’ve interacted with, from SA Jacques to DA Mariam to service coordinator Markus to service tech Emilio have been outstanding. Also with what other car company can you even text your service person???

Just came from the Millbrae service center. Saw at least two grey cars ready for delivery.

2.5 years later, she's finally mine. I'll post more thoughts, and hopefully more pics, later. Just stopping for lunch and then dropping the car off for PPF. Too bad it's cloudy today - the drive through Malibu and the Santa Monica mountains would have been so much nicer.

Well, at least it’s not pouring like it was here in Miami FL last night and this morning. I am reliving the pain of having to give up a brand new car to the PPF shop, and so soon after getting it too. But that is what is best. The sooner you bring it in after taking delivery, the fewer the paint imperfections your PPF guys will have to correct.

Congratulations! Your car is eye poppingly gorgeous.
