One indicator I often use on high tech high priced items is high traffic on forums discussing that new tech.

Where is everybody? Couple posts a day, really?

I would have expected and hoped this forum would be buzzing.

If something doesn’t have enough volume it won’t survive or be supported in the long run.

Thanks for your concern. The water’s fine. Come on in.

Where have you been? Have you seen the OTA 2.5 thread? What about the Gravity Orders thread or the Gravity Discussions thread?

Are you looking in the right spot? There are several posts a day, just not several threads a day.

Which forum are you on? It can’t be this one. It takes an hour a day to go through the tons of new posts every day.

My backend statistics indicate that your analysis is very wrong.

I think the clue to decode this deliberately-inaccurate message lies in this:

It's just another fanboy troll at work, probably seriously worked up over the growing consensus among the automotive press that Lucid has taken the lead in EV technology.

I tend to agree...just relative to other forums. Have placed my gravity order and looking forward to it. But coming from Tesla forums and even others like Acura and Volvo forums, it's seems a little light, especially for a vehicle that seems to be highly anticipated. Not a knock, just an observation. It may just be that there isn't much to discuss right now especially about the gravity given that there aren't real any demo vehicles, test drives, etc. Will be interested to see how it changes as first production vehicles hit the road.

I would say that is not a fair comparison, yet.

Just a FYI, the forums are currently averaging 190 posts per day in November. That may be "lighter" than more established brand forums, but I would say that is far from a couple posts per day.

Less controversies less posts. For example, Lucid occupants can open all the front and rear doors without the need of power, while Tesla can do that easily for front doors only. It's possible to do that for Tesla rear doors but it's kind of complicated and not practical in a car crash.

Lucid's first -- and so far only -- product, the Air sedan, is currently outselling the Tesla Model S, the Mercedes EQS, and the Porsche Taycan in the U.S. It is soon to enter the broader SUV market, followed by entry into the mass market with its midsize CUV in a couple of years. It's way too early to conclude anything about Lucid's sales volume.

Whatever happened to "don't feed the troll"?
Yeah, I don't think he was trolling as his other posts seem reasonable. I interpret it as asking why there isn't much discussion on the Gravity on the Lucid forum. I think there has been plenty of preproduction discussion - dissecting every little bit of information doled out by PR releases and car magazine articles. Any more specualtion may devolve into those AI written articles you see on Edmunds 👿. We may just be all talked out until we actually have the first models delivered or something new is mentioned. 🤣

Right now there are 28 members and 57 guests reading the forum. And there is another Lucid forum as well as very active Reddit subpages on Lucid.

I just felt that asking "where is everybody" and claiming there are only a couple of posts a day on this forum signaled something short of good faith in starting this thread.

...I interpret it as asking why there isn't much discussion on the Gravity on the Lucid forum...
I interpret "high tech high priced items" as asking for generic information like the next step in ADAS such as using LIDAR to prevent collisions reliably, and how to tap into Lucid's car telemetry...

Respectfully, how can there possibly be the same volume of activity for a car company (Lucid) that has fewer cars on the road than Tesla builds in less than two days? And, of course, Acura and Volvo both have lengthy histories and likely millions of cars on the road. I am amazed at how much traffic there is here given just how few cars Lucid has built to date…

Those other manufacturers have been arround decades and sell more cars, what else do you expect???

I'll bite, if this isn't trolling. 😀

My assessment of this forum is that it is about the current Lucid product (Air) and the upcoming product (Gravity). Looking at all the posts about the Air alone, shows me this is an active forum of current and potential buyers of the Air and athe Gravity.

There are megathreads on here! 😀
You add in the Lucid Updates site, I'm impressed and even more encouraged to make my purchase. I'm not a seasoned Benz, Porsche, etc. connoisseur, so perhaps I just don't know what happens on those other forums. However, I don't know also because NONE, of those other companies have a product I would buy. I looked. NONE! 😀

All of the different sections of this for really one current product from a fairly new company compared to the other companies mentioned. There is excitement here about Gravity as evidences by the speculation and now lamenting about the lack of follow up info on Gravity.

Final comments: 1) As mentioned in another post, there are other Lucid online forums. 2) There are probably many forum members who never post, but simply read for knowledge as owner or potential buyer.

This is not a Gravity-only forum. Most of the posts are about the Air! 😀

So this is how you treat newcomers thinking of switching.

If you are the typical welcome wagon maybe I should stay clear.

Did I hide the fact I own a Model S?

Maybe I am looking in the wrong place. I certainly came to the wrong forum to ask.

I reported your response.
