Apparently it’s rolling out. For some folks, a DE is now available on the website. I suspect it’s making its way through the global caches.

This just shows how out of touch this company is. There was an uproar when the Gravity Touring couldn't be ordered and the time it was going to take to receive. Instead of forging down the line to the cheaper model they decide to go in the opposite direction and release a more expensive Dream edition. Similar to when people were wanting to get into the Air Pure quickly Lucid threw the $250K Sapphire in ahead of them.

Or, this was planned for a long time and they didn’t want to run the risk of launching it before the GT, so as to avoid the reputation of being a crazy expensive car. There’s never really a good time to launch an edition like this, because if you launch it first it labels the car as inaccessible, and if you launch it last people will be upset they didn’t know about it when they got theirs, etc.

Yesterday Peter was forced out today DE announcement. Maybe both or connected or not. This DE stunt seems to me that they hoping existing order holders will start switching to DE. It's the same model with software adjusted performance. Easy way to get another $20K from folks. I think the color options mentioned matching pretty closely what people were ordering already. This would prove significant delays in Gravity roll out. I am not trying to sound negative. I want Lucid to succeed. We must admit that it is very difficult in the current environment.

Maybe, but from the outset of Gravity being announced, I had hoped/expectd there would be a Dream Edition. I was sad to only see the GT/Touring announced officially, but now I'm happy to see the DE being offered as it's what I was hoping for the whole time.

Exactly. One of the Gravities shown at the LA Auto Show in November 2023 was a Dream Edition.

I'm pretty sure the Gravity DE has different motors, just as the Air Dream Edition had different motors from the Air Grand Touring. In fact, there was even a different front axle motor between the Air Dream Range and the Air Dream Performance.

Same here. Couldn't change the original Grand Touring order and had to pay a second deposit for the DE order.

But I've already talked to the delivery advisor to whom I was assigned with the first order, and he's handling the cancellation of the original order.

Frankly, I was hoping to do the DE in Lunar Titanium w/ Ojai, but to get that extra 242 hp I'd take it in hot pink. (And Aurora Green was my original GT order, anyhoo.)
