Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Grand Touring

Update#2. Thanks to my DA and the great folks at the Scottsdale Delivery Center, I picked up my Zenith Red Grand Touring on Wed 6/22. They had to void my previous signed purchase documents as they were too old, and I signed new ones.
All other cars ready for delivery at that center were under wraps so I didn't get to see any Quantum Grey, but I am extremely happy with my switch to Zenith Red. It is amazing in person.
I took it to my local detailer for a paint correction/ceramic coating quote and he was quite surprised at the finish quality as well-- he didn't think it would really need very much correction.

Who are you using for PPF and tint in Vegas? Quote prices?

I also had delivery scheduled for Torrance. They ended up moving it to Costa Mesa Service/Delivery center.

Interesting, I confirmed a White Santa Cruz GT 20 days after you, and wasn't at all expecting a VIN number 20 days from now. A week or so ago my DA said that my vehicle should enter production in Q3. Given the drama lately, I thought "Q3" probably meant October.

This is encouraging. We are now (finally) seeing confirmation dates after March 1st starting to get their VINs. It seems to have taken forever.... Now, let's have the Zenith Red cars start to really move regarding their VIN assignments!

I spoke to my DA in CA Thursday and I was told to expect the VIN "around" July 15, with delivery "around" Labor Day, for a March 23, confirmation date (Zenith Red). I interpret "around" to be 2 to 8 weeks after the given date. My original VIN date was given as 5/15.

Yes. If they increase issuing VINs again, it would indicate that they can clear the current April, May and June VINs in the next few weeks. If they don’t, then these VINs will suffer the same delays.

I confirmed on May 15 and received my VIN a month ago.
 
I don't see how they can catch up so quickly after that several week slow down. Keep in mind, they have increased the time for PDI to increase quality. So things going forward should be a bit slower.

That is about six weeks so its encouraging that they think they can return to normal deliveries post-VIN by September. Would be a substantial improvement than the current 11-13 weeks. If they can confirm some Tourings at the beginning of July, then it is possible that the first deliveries of them could occur by November.

I agree. Hopefully the long awaited end to supply chain issues has relieved the production constraints. My DA said that my delay was due to ‘fit and finish’ issues and that was hinted to be due to the lack of quality parts. If they can now receive those parts, then they should be able to complete these April VIN cars And ultimately May and June to get back on schedule. As I have an April VIN, I’ll be able to see if that analysis is correct over the next week or so. If not, then those newly issued VINs will suffer the same fate as those before.
 
In early June, I was told that my VIN would come in mid to late June. I’m not sure what the Vegas odds are of receiving it, but I’ll take the June VIN and the points.

I confirmed my QG/Tahoe/19 wheels on June 13th. I have not had a call or email from a DA yet although my SA called to inform me that he scheduled me for a second test drive in October in Scottsdale. He said he would reach out to my DA to see if he had my info.
