I drive quite frequently from Houston to Dallas, roughly about 300 miles from one city’s suburb to another. This is my first EV and my first trip to Dallas from Houston with EV. I cranked AC to 8 out 10 bc 96F heat, Texas sun and that glass roof and cranked up surround sound, no luggage, just 1 person. AGT with 21” summer tires. This is what I got at end of trip passing Austin, Texas along the way.

395.7/3.1*$0.12 = $12.76
(If battery charged at home)

$0
(I got 3 years complimentary EA charge station)

395.7/14.3*$5.2 = $180.25
(If I drove my F-250 super Diesel)

395.7/16.8*4.2 = $105.99
(If I drove my Jeep Wrangler Reg Gas)

So Tesla ModelX took me 8.5 hrs (charged 3-4 times at Tesla Supercharger stations of 75kw and 125kw) and I developed range anxiety. This Lucid AGT can just be 4.5 hrs + 40 min. (IF I choose to charge once along the way) The charge is crazy fast at 150kw, and I wished can at least try 350kw once.

There is clear winner!

Inside any city, Tesla or any other EV.
Inside Texas, gotta be Lucid Air!
#nobrainer

Great to get rid of some of the range anxiety. I noticed you had the GT in swift mode!😊

Yeah, I do cruise at 75mph, these Texas pickups likes to pass me. So I like to do 2-3 seconds pull away to 110 mph and say bye-bye to aggressive drivers. 😎

The Lucid is your first EV and first trip from Dallas to Houston with an EV, but you’ve also done the trip in a Model X?

You would probably have to make 1 stop at 3.1mi/kwh, correct? I’m guessing in more temperate weather with no AC you should easily be able to do it in 1 go (bladder permitting)

Where I am in the NE diesel is I the $7 range!

Correction, Lucid is my first OWNED EV drive to Dallas

I have rented Model X from Turo app and posted on the other forum post. I rented Navigator, Range Rover and Model X to compare what I should buy next.

Yes, I made 1 stop, bc I don’t top up battery to prolong its life. I started battery at 70% level.

In Texas, we enjoy cheapest energy price. But still, I believe EV is the way to go. So Lucid priced premium for engineering innovation. Compare to Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ducati, this $140k GT is cheap to top 1/2M to 2M ICE super cars. The the trunk cover and front hood expanded cut opening is just like super car design unlike any other sport cars on the street. Lucid knows luxury market.
