2023 Air Touring with DD Pro. Update to 2.4.4 yesterday, while driving using HA on freeways today Lucid disengages HA automatically whenever a motorcycle passed me on either side.

This is so dangerous when it goes from 75 to 40 on a freeway with high regen active :|

Is this a known bug? Initially I thought just one motorcycle that it didn't detect or something was wrong but happened 4 separate times with different motorcycles in LA traffic.

I'd definitely bring this up with Customer Care it seems like a pretty high priority issue that they should be made aware of. Haven't had any motorcycles drive by me yet so I can't personally verify but if you're able to constantly reproduce it, this should be escalated!

I do experience the same, but I am currently at version 2.4.2.

Dealing with motorcycles is riskier, so the system may want the driver to take over.

Has anyone else experienced this? I haven't had a motorcycle nearby while operating in HA yet, so I have no data either way. It would be helpful to know other people's experiences to see if the system operates in this manner on a consistent basis.

I had HA disengage while going 70mph twice yesterday but I don't think there were motorcycles involved. Was quite uncomfortable cos I too use high Regen.

Yes, this is a fairly common issue reported by other Lucid owners. The automatic disengagement of HA when motorcycles pass is indeed a bug for some users. What makes it even worse is that it happens with active high regenerative braking, which can be quite dangerous.as far as I know, Lucid is works on fixes through future software updates.

Just keep an eye out for updates.people have seen improvements in version 2.4.2 and above, but not everything is fully resolved yet;).

The lesson I learned (And hope this helps others) is that when Lucid says, 'Keep your hands on the wheel', it is meant very seriously and that I need to be hyper vigilant in these times of new functionality additions.

As I type this, another HA incident comes to mind. I was going through an area with two lanes and for about 300 feet or so, the lane markings in the middle were relatively faded, which made the HA think that its now one lane only and it tried to 'center' the car, almost crashing me into a car on my right. Had my hand not been in active contact with the steering wheel, we'd be in a crash. So please, keep your hands on the steering wheel and keep your head on a swivel when engaging lane change assist. Heck, this is true even for general driving without any fancy software. Stay safe people, this HA software, while great, is not without its risks! Looking forward to more updates to sort this out, but I think we are in a phase where the risk is currently slightly higher and has certainly made me more vigilant on the road, not less, with these new software additions.

Yes, it has happened to me twice one driving on PA turnpike(2 lanes) and NJ turnpike (3 lanes with construction).
For whatever reason, on PA turnpike, HA picked up the lane in opposite direction and made it look like 3 lanes. Then, a vehicle was driving on the shoulder in other direction. My Lucid picked up that vehicle is going to cross the lane and disengaged it...
On NJ turnpike, I just saw a red message "HA disengaged"....

Already on 2.4.10

I've noticed two behaviors with motorcycles, especially when they split lanes (this is legal and very common in California):
1. The car will see the motorcycle as it goes in front and speed up to follow and then see the car in front slow down again (This happens when motorcycles are splitting lanes and going much faster than the regular flow of traffic). This is easier to fix ....I think.

2. Motorcycle passes the car, the car will see it and sometimes disengage from HA. I've noticed that this will happen if I move over into the shoulder to allow for safer passing or not. At this point, my hypothesis is that the car is seeing another vehicle suddenly in the same lane and probably deems the risk of interacting in some negative manner to be too high for HA and requires manual intervention

As an enthusiastic motorcyclist, I was eager to check the ability of the car to detect and do the right things when in the vicinity of motorcycles after the 2.4.xx update. For me, the car detects motorcycles reliably (much better than my previous vehicle) and behaves appropriately with motorcycles around it.
