Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

I think I read somewhere that they will provide home delivery if you are more than 100 miles from a showroom???

Question: Can you reinstall the aero blades for maximum efficiency on longer trips with the silver cap or does it have to be removed?
 
Delivery today. A couple of minor gap issues but overall everything seems good. Drive is so different from the Taycan.

Just got an email from Lucid to pay! All the stuff on the Dashboard is now gone! Also got the Purchase Agreement and used Docusign; got confirmation from Lucid that both payment and signed documents transferred fine. Hint to all of you still waiting: Things happen very fast!

I got the email for the Purchase Agreement and the email to pay. Pay tab on the dashboard appears to be active. However, car still shows "in Production" and no status from DA. How did you get notification that your car is ready for pickup? How long did it take to process the payment?

Very nice! Love the pair in the garage! Exciting! Mine also has a few panel alignment issues.

I didn't get a notification that the car is ready for pickup. I received a call from Ariel that my car is complete and awaiting transport to Costa Mesa. My car is still listed as "In Production". I don't think that will change until it reaches Costa Mesa. When they touch it, the Dashboard will update to "Preparing for Delivery." Payment thru Plaid with my credit union was instant, although the transaction won't probably appear until Monday when the CU opens.

Yes, she’s very responsive. I also got my PA, but unfortunately, it had Parsons listed for the loan. I submitted the loan app on Parsons over a week ago, and it seems to be taking them forever to process loans. I ended up submitting a loan app on Bank of America, and was approved within 30 seconds. If Parsons comes through sometime later, I may just use them to refinance the loan. Now the PA documents need To be redone, Ariel submitted the request for me, but said it could still take 24 to 48 hours to make the change so I can sign the docs. Unfortunately, my vehicle still hasn’t finished production, but she is still confident that I will get it before the end of the year. If things get close, I will simply pay for the vehicle and activate the B of A loan and put the rest of my cash portion in. This way, at least my documents will show payment in 2022.
 
Took delivery today - Air Touring. They delivered it to the house (I'm 80+ miles from the Plano showroom). Did a virtual walk thru via FaceTime. Haven't noticed any issues - yet. No squeaks when driving, much quicker than I thought it'd be - essentially similar to the GT (stupid fast for no reason).

Odd - my membership application took a few days to process with Parsons but my loan application was submitted on a Friday and approved on Monday. You should call Parsons as I think they are capable of moving pretty quickly.
 
WTF??? I have a QG/T that I confirmed on 11/1 and am still waiting for a VIN while they cars with the same config available to other people??? All while there is zero response from the DA.
I'm going to guess that they run a specific set of configs and that's the priority of delivery. So - x number of QG with Santa Cruz, x number with Tahoe etc. However, there could be supply chain issues with specific interior trims that could delay production so they just run with what they have. Then then run White, silver, black etc. My gut tells me that anything in Red would be delayed because fewer requests and they know they can get more deliveries in the high demand packages.
Having said that - I didn't hear anything until I did - and then stuff moved fairly quick. I didn't expect delivery until next week and they shipped it this afternoon to the house. The trailer had a white touring in front of me headed to Plano. The delivery driver said he'd done about 40 of them so far (he can take 2 at a time).
 
Had a talk to my DA today and he mentioned that my car was shipped out to FL west Palm Beach and expect it to arrive on 21st. But in the website it still shows 'In Production' status. Not sure what is happening. Since I am financing, he asked me to tell the CU and release the payment. I did say that once the car is delivered in FL them I will start with the arrangements for the money.

Nice! I signed my PA yesterday but for some reason I still can't enter my insurance information (greyed out on my dashboard). I haven't heard from my DA in a week.

Received emails with purchase agreement and invitation to pay tonight. Was going to sign PA but asked for insurance info. Still don’t know when the car will be delivered so haven’t talked to my insurance agent about coverage for the car yet.
 
I was supposed to pick up my Touring today, Lucid called me while I was 10 minutes away from their studio and told me they can’t deliver the car today because they need to replace the trunk actuator. Has this happened to anyone? Is there a known issue with the trunk actuator?
