2.0.15 - The MOAU - Mother Of All Updates

With the fob in my pocket, I still find approaching the car from the rear to open the trunk waiting 5-10 seconds for it to open. I‘m on 2.0.24 also and after getting Starbucks, out of the car for maybe 1m, waiting 2-3 seconds to present handle upon return. It’s definitely way better than a year ago, but still subpar. Yes, absolutely more annoying on a rainy day than sunshine. On the bright side there are worse problems than having a really nice car that makes you wait to get in.
I've heard comments about carrying groceries or bags to the trunk area and having to wait forever to open the trunk but I was able to open the trunk by touching the trunk release with 1 finger even though I had a both hands/arms full of bags.

I’m always able to open with one finger, it’s just a question of when. Not to pile on, but other vehicles I have from the 2020’s you can open truck/hatch with your foot.

Then why wait forever in the rain?

We have two cars with the "foot open" feature. I think that it's a great idea but in practice, it is not consistent for us.

😂 I’ve had to practice. My wife could get it to work every time. With our vehicles it has to do with how fast you move your foot. Being impatient, I needed to slow the ”kick” down to get it to work.

My hands are full and I don’t want to drop everything to get the fob out of my pocket.
Lucid needs to let us yell "ALEXA, OPEN THE TRUNK"! No, seriously.

We're going in circles here as you said you can also open the trunk with one finger with you hands full; then why worry about getting your FOB out of your pocket?

Because the car takes forever to recognize the fob approaching from the rear and unlock. I can press the trunk button all I want. The car wont open the trunk till it detects the fob, which can take 5-10 seconds, which is forever when you are standing in the rain with your hands full.

That's too bad as my car recognizes me just about every time that I get close to the car.

I have found 2.0.24 to be much better at knowing that I approached the car, but I have still had 2-3 times over the last few days that I have to use the fob to open the door.

Maybe I have just gotten lucky, but I put the key fobs away on the day I got the car and I’ve never use them since. The phone key works perfectly for me.

Well, I have found that the phone does work well because the fob battery has died several times. Still carry the fob, phone and valet card! 👍

It's hit and miss for me. Sometimes the car opens when I approach but often times, I have to pull my phone out and open the app. I don't actually have to unlock from the app. But do have to open it.

Fortunately, it always opens from there.

I've tried changing the Location settings on the iPhone from Only When Using the App to Always On and it doesn't make a difference.

Behavior has been the same from 1.0.21 to 2.0.18 and now 2.0.24.

May try Bunny's Valet card reset suggestion but most things (including cameras) are working pretty well for me so not sure I want to mess with what's working.

I decided to handwash my AGT yesterday (unseasonably warm day) and the eager puppy thing went on the whole process, with the fob in my pocket. I haven’t enabled mobile key yet. I even locked the car with the single click, but after a couple of minutes, it was flashdancing again. I’m on 2.0.24, btw. Thinking about trying a hard reset…
