Don't get hung up on "start button", everything else you said appears to be equivalent to what I said... and at the heart of it, you need some way to communicate "intent" (to drive vs to do something else), simply moving the car out of park is equivalent to a "start button", but it takes time (second in a good case) to go from a cold processor to a fully running op sys (especially a distributed one such as this). At the heart of it, we are saying "don't assume I am here to drive" and "you need a way to signal intent/purpose rather than assuming the most power consumptive one".
My main request is to add geo to the android intent filter 
Not particularly App tied, but I’m unsure if the car has proper UWB + BLE + NFC support baked in, and if Lucid is working on a MiFi certification for Apple CardKey support… but seriously would loooove to see that.
I was told:
- a dead battery fob uses RFID (pull the battery & its used like a keycard)
- live fob is BT
- keycard is NFC (no idea why dead fob & keycard don't use the same)

Based on the FCC compliance section of the owners manaul, there is no UWB.
No CarKey support for us then

Probably asked here, but are there plans to allow friend (3p) access for driving through the app? I believe with the Rivians you can loan someone your car with an access code. Would be nice for all kinds of reasons. Esp if you had kids and you wanted them to run out and grab something from the car or you could see that it was locked through the app.

Great concept.
For now, give them key fob, and remotely unlock car if he has issue getting in.

Good artists copy, great artists steal? In the early-ish days of Android (4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich), Apple didn't hesitate to rip off UI improvements (wifi, flashlight, bluetooth etc in the drop down menu)... No reason Lucid shouldn't culturally be doing the same. Both companies can learn from each other and innovate beyond what Tesla does, ie Rivian copying dog mode, sentry mode, etc. See key sharing here:

I would like a summon type feature for pulling the vehicle out in tight spaces.
You're right. I was thinking it only opened the door because I never used it to close the door—it would just close on its own— until it started staying open recently after charging. I guess whatever bug that's keeping the door from closing automatically is also disabling this function on the app.

The Lucid app still feels pretty basic. I didn’t go through all 16 pages of comments on this thread, so I am guessing some of these points are already brought up by others.
Improvements needed
1. Show the latest software version of the car. I don’t think it shows. Or may be I am missing.
2. Remotely warm up or cool down the car interior and seats/steering.
3. Allow the car to be backed out or parked in - into a tight parking space while standing outside. Really really helpful feature on Tesla Summon.
4. Set up charging time. I am sure many have mentioned it. Electricity is usually cheapest after midnight.
The above will be a few good starting points. There are plenty more.

One other thing the mobile app should do is integrate with the iOS, so we can send an address to the car directly from Google Maps. Super helpful feature where if someone sends us a Google map pin, we can send directly to the car so we can use car’s navigation.
Both Tesla and Mercedes have this simple functionality - as well as, I am sure many other car brands. Lucid should also implement it.
