I initially thought only the high tech, just out of diapers crowd, was interested in the EV world but have met quite a lot retired ready to buy a Lucid. What says the hive? How old are you?😊

Based on current results, can one deduce this is a middle-aged man's car? 😆

I think I may be one of the runts of the litter...

My wife claims I drive like a Grandpa. You know what though... after getting so many points against my license (all for speeding), cruise control has been my bastion. I always set it for 10% higher than the existing speed limit. (except on a highway known as the QE2 here in Alberta).

I think that is one of the biggest issues with this car though and it makes my drive frustrating...I have to keep the car in check because it is SOOO easy to speed in this thing.

Cheers to another Albertan

What does chronological age have to do with one's interest in or ability to acquire such an amazing vehicle?

Because a poll named “how old do you feel inside” would not give me the data I need.

Haha, if I had to answer that it'd be 20 years older.

This just came up in the Bay Area Telegram, we made lots of people feel OLD 🙃

I hear that. My younger self used to leave work at 5 on Friday and drive up into the mountains to soar. Being a weather-dependent sport we drove around a lot trying to find a place that was soarable. Typically I'd arrive home very late Sunday...sometimes so late I just drove directly to work. I had so many speeding tickets they opened up an annex at PennDot just for my file. Over 50 points (I stopped opening the mail). Lost my license for 3 years. Upside is that's how I met my wife (riding a bus).

I get bored and scared driving at legal speeds on the freeways. I like to just stay in the left and be the fastest car around, but I don't tailgate (pet peeve)...I have scruples. The new me loves the adaptive cruse control. I'd be happy to stay in the right lane for the rest of my life were it not for the 99% of drivers that do not know how to merge onto a highway.

I am a grandpa now so ....

ps bunny you should have gotten the e63s wagon ... I regret selling that more than I regret selling the R129 V12.

Now, that's a hot car.

had to sell it. absolutely could not drive it slowly and carefully. Stops on a dime and gives you a nickle change. Wife was constantly on the nag brake. She's right though ... I've driven that car way up into 3 digits (mph digits) for long long ... sheesh I was insane with that car. If you ever get a chance, stand behind one when it starts up. A friggin' station wagon for crysakes.

( Mice love them.)

(i wonder if Lucid wiring is as tastey as Mercedes wiring? I found these bastards in my E63s intake, then caught 6 more in the garage in a week.)

no way e63s handles like a wagon. I never felt scared driving it...not at any speed. way way way above my ability. too old for that kind of temptation.

The Lucid is way easier to drive civilly.

meanwhile I have a dead mini-fridge that I want to take to the local recycler; a fridge that I brought home in that wagon....dare I try to put it in the Lucid? Is it wrong to show up at the recycler with junk in the funk of a $150k supercar ?

where is my Lucid wagon ? ( ... suvs are for girls )

am surprised at how young everyone is. no wonder nobody gets my jokes. had you grown up as boomers some of my posts would be very funny. I wonder how many get the charlie brown reference ? Should I stop trying or explain them to the children?
