So if you found a rat in your car, would you just leave it there?I have a soft spot for all rodents. I think it’s adorable.

The rodents that are adorable in my book is the animated kind, Mickey and Minnie.I have a soft spot for all rodents. I think it’s adorable.
When I lived in New York, I was the weirdo who would go "awwww, so cute" whenever I saw a rat at a subway station. Most other people would shriek and run.So if you found a rat in your car, would you just leave it there?![]()
That was definitely a little mouse, not a rat. I’m from nyc; I know rats. lolSo if you found a rat in your car, would you just leave it there?![]()
Being fro new jersey, mouses and rats are basically the same thing for us, because you NEVER see them round here! That was definitely a little mouse, not a rat. I’m from nyc; I know rats. lol
Seeing how much rats were on the subways, I assume that happened thrice a week? When I lived in New York, I was the weirdo who would go "awwww, so cute" whenever I saw a rat at a subway station. Most other people would shriek and run.
No, it just smells like you shouldBeing fro new jersey, mouses and rats are basically the same thing for us, because you NEVER see them round here!
The rats we have in NYC can be saddled up and ridden for blocks…yeah, their range is limited. That was definitely a little mouse, not a rat. I’m from nyc; I know rats. lol
Beats talking about age.How did this thread start as something about age and turn into something about dead animals???? I'm really not a fan of dead animals.
Sure, but to be fair, let's not post any more photos of dead mice. It's not necessary and the point has been made, so no harm in not posting any additional pics.Beats talking about age.
You can tell them apart because mice are more tender.Being fro new jersey, mouses and rats are basically the same thing for us, because you NEVER see them round here!
Okay. live mice it is.Sure, but to be fair, let's not post any more photos of dead mice. It's not necessary and the point has been made, so no harm in not posting any additional pics.
So my conclusion is that I need to drive the car more often. I typically take it out a couple of times a week but if I take it out more frequently, then the car is less hospitable for them. You can tell them apart because mice are more tender.

So where was the nest? Hidden amongst the electronics in the front? So my conclusion is that I need to drive the car more often. I typically take it out a couple of times a week but if I take it out more frequently, then the car is less hospitable for them.
Presently, the car is being serviced. They found a nest. The cost to demousify it is going to cost upwards of $1,000.
This past Winter, I moved my John Deere lawn tractor about every other day to avoid mice chewing up the wiring harness like they did last year. When I had it serviced last week for an annual tune-up, no evidence of mice was found.
If you live in an area prone to mice, I think you have to. My sister didn't have problems with her Bolt until she started working from home and driving once or twice a week instead of every day. Then she had to replace the wire harness twice, a few thousand dollars each time.So my conclusion is that I need to drive the car more often. Plainview Service Center told me nest was located in the rear of car and around TCU, but fortunately did not get into the TCU itself. It's the first time that they've seen an Air with this problem. So where was the nest? Hidden amongst the electronics in the front?
