Gravity Delivery Discussion

My Gravity has arrived in SoCal confirmed by the SA, app shows preparing for delivery now. Inspection time is a week so I should have pickup time around the middle to end of next week. Excited!

I hope that car hauler has mine too and is on the way to NorCal now! Didn't hear from my SA about leaving the production site though

You'll be fine. It's those of us that want to carry 4 mountain bikes that have a problem.
E-bike people should just ride to the trailhead. :p I guess removing the battery and carrying it in the trunk would help.
That's what I did with the hitch on my Model X -- to carry my bikes, I had to remove the batteries, seats and front wheels on both bikes and that got me under the weight limit (they're heavy Blix bikes). Just got frustrated having to reattach all of that once I got to my destination, then break it all down again to go home.

Did Timothee Chalamet just skip to the head of the line for deliveries?? Come on man. No way he ordered day one in November 2024… 🤣

I'm okay with the line jump if it sells cars, increases visibility and makes Lucid blow away Tesla in the long game.

Basic Q - for Air owners, does your not-yet-delivered Gravity show up in your MOBILE app? I can see it in my dashboard on the website, of course, but I don't see any sign of it in the mobile app.

I didn't catch the point at which our Gravity first showed up on the mobile app, but it did so without my doing anything. If I remember, I first noticed it on the app shortly after our delivery time was established, so I'm thinking the Service Center linked it to the app during delivery prep.

The second Gravity we have on order is not yet showing on the app, but it doesn't even have a VIN assigned (even though it was ordered five weeks before the one we received on June 30).

It doesn't show up until you login to your account on the vehicle

Another possible reference point for current or upcoming GDE deliveries. Mine was finally moved from 'In Production' to 'Preparing for Delivery' a week ago. I am in Colorado but apparently our service center is not equipped to handle the final inspection/clean-up so it was shipped to Chicago.
Unfortunately, I received a message this weekend while we were away camping that it failed inspection and will need new parts before it can be shipped to Denver. The new parts will not be available until likely September.
I have inquired about what exactly failed and where/how my car will be stored the coming month(s) but have not received a response back yet.

Damn! Sorry to hear that. That’s definitely frustrating.

Obvious rhetorical question: How did those failed parts make it past factory inspection before shipping?

Answer probably depends on what the parts are that failed.

Sorry but that’s actually GOOD news. It means PDI is functioning as intended and you’re not going to be handed an overlooked problem!

That's what the documentation says, but it showed up in my app after I took delivery even without logging in on the vehicle. (I specifically did not log in or set up the vehicle after taking delivery because I didn't want any indication it was connected when we did our "test drive" the next week.) So I think this gets linked on the back-end to your ID regardless of sign-in.

Oh, interesting. It wasn't on my account, then the moment after I logged in, it showed up and I was messing with it during the walkthrough.
