Gravity PPF Installation

My detailer using some liquid polymer glue thingie to stick logos back onto the PPF, no 3M tapes, I believe the liquid is also made by 3M, but it's in liquid form. he wiped the back of the logo with 1 chemical, and the area to glue with a different chemical. When they are combined, it creates the bond, it's literally the logo attaching to the top of the PPF, no gap, no extra thickness. PPF/Emblem, that's it.

Would you be able to ask your detailer for the exact name of this product so that I can let my installer know?

I was able to secure a new badge from Lucid for the rear hatch. My SA helped me in the process.

I swung by the PPF shop yesterday to see what was holding things up. The owner, who was on vacation when I took the car in, was there and said they did have what seems like the same or a similar product they can use to reattach the logos.

However, they were still hesitant to try to remove the logos, saying they were afraid they might bend or break during removal. I told them to try and, if they got damaged, so be it. I've always been on the fence about those logos, anyway. If they do get damaged and I later decide I really want them back on, perhaps Lucid will accept the excuse of their having been damaged by the removal necessary to wrap the car as a reason to sell me another pair, something they currently say they will not do.

The longer this goes on the more irritated I am that Lucid first chose to use raised logos and then ignored my request not to mount them during delivery prep. I can't believe that Lucid doesn't know that a lot of buyers want to get their cars wrapped and that those logos have to come off to do so.

At least the service manager is now assuring me that they will honor my request when our second Gravity is prepped for delivery.

Well, apparently they can't even figure out how to ship the Gravity emblem to the correct address. I confirmed the address before shipment and got delivery confirmation today. Only problem is I don't know where it was delivered, other than to my city and state. FedEx won't tell me and getting Lucid to figure it out hasn't been so easy either.

FedEx near us is the *worst* delivery service I have ever used. I have literally watched them walk up to our gate, not even pause, and slap a sticker on it without writing a thing, only to discover that they marked it as “nobody home or business closed” while I stood there at the top of the stairs. I reported that one, but it wasn’t the first.

I’ve also seen them literally toss packages over the gate. So I’m not exactly sure whose fault it is; I think I just really wanted to rant about FedEx because I hate them so goddamn much lol
