Feedback/improvements for the Air!

I'm curious about the pre-conditioning routine. Is this something I should always do before stopping for a charging session? Wouldn't the battery be at the right temperature after driving for multiple hours and not need the pre-conditioning?
There is about at 7C differential between best battery temperature for driving and best temperature for charging with charging being higher. I have no idea how close the car tries to maintain these temperatures. This is a fairly small difference but it you are looking for the fastest charge possible it may make a difference.

Oh, the seat going to exit position needs to be triggered by unbuckling the seat belt AND turning car off.

I'm curious, what EVs have the ability to turn "off" to trigger that function?

If the car can’t be turned off, at least this should finally trigger when the driver’s door is opened.

What made me think about this was I did this yesterday. Was sitting in my truck but didn't get out or turn it off but needed the room for a break.

As an aside not being able to "turn it off" will take some getting used to. When I rented the Tesla I felt weird just waking away without hitting button on key fob.

Has anyone else noticed that the distracted driver alert comes on when driving directly into the sun? I am not sure why since I am always wearing sunglasses and I doubt the camera can see my eyes through the sun glasses.

Did you take a facial rec pic with your sunglasses on?

Good question, I think that I took it without. Does it make a difference? Why only when driving into the sun?
Doesn't the distracted driver warning look at your eye position? If you have glasses on, it appears that it can't find your eyes so that you always "seem" distracted. Just a guess

As a long time Tesla driver, I have the opposite problem. Luckily, my husband's BMW beeps if you walk away with the key, so I haven't left it too long, but I still forget about every other time I drive it.

Feedback is great, but a consolidated list of improvements would be an easy place for Lucid to look for feedback.

  • CarPlay
  • Android Auto
  • Charge scheduling
  • Dashcam ability
  • Sentry mode
  • Camera while driving ability
  • Nav + music screen active at the same time, or just mutli-use
  • Better route planning
  • Ability to filter for EA charging stations
  • V2G, V2V, V2H charging capabilities
  • Mix & match steering, suspension, and throttle
  • Homelink auto-trigger
    • Add bottom navigation and a side panel with Homelink buttons to the pilot panel Park/Camera screen
  • Hardwire USB data capabilities
  • Improved cabin temp hold (aka dog mode)
  • Satellite radio, either integrated or as an application
  • Max cabin temperature (like Tesla Cabin overheat protection where if the cabin gets above 105f, it controls it regardless as long as you have enough battery. Tesla created this due to component failures, but it’s honestly a wonderful feature)
  • Make the freaking cars in the UI match my car color. The car in the UI is a silver DE, which isn’t even possible
  • Navigation
    • Remember settings and history
    • Google earth map overlay
    • Slow to find destinations
    • Short interruptions in cell signal confuse or lock up system
    • No volume control or voice prompt customization (on/off)
    • Is a reminder every time that I would rather be using an app on my phone
    • Improved offline nav
  • More visualizations in Gauge Cluster
  • Turn on anti-aliasing. Lines are jagged on the speedometer
  • Faster car startup
  • Let the music page remain in place in the lower screen once it’s dragged there
  • Auto high for headlights/adaptive lighting
  • Seats
    • Comfort access/easy in out
    • Passenger Seat Memory
    • Heat/cool seats + steering wheel from app
  • Regen settings and drive mode linked to profile
  • Make Lock/Unlock more consistent with both Mobile Key and Key Fob
    • Customization of Unlock/Lock
    • Proximity lock - on/off
    • Unlock - Driver door/all doors
    • A way to turn off the car (Press park a second time)
    • Comfort access (seat moves back for exit) This helps many drivers with exit and helps if drivers of significant height differences share the car.
  • Faster Loading for profile changes
  • Improved wireless charging dock
  • Auto Wipers setting with variable speed
  • Use a combination of key proximity and rear camera/sensors to open the trunk Ala foot trunk/tailgate opening
  • Allow "work" address to be removed or changed to a different title i.e. son's house
  • Park system/Camera
    • The cameras have a lag. The lag from reality to the screen inside the car is enough to be nauseating.
    • The graphics overlays cover the portions of the image you most need to see. The car is not represented on the screen accurately to where it is in the outside world. The audio alerts are annoying vs informative and often go to full tone when you are in fact not that close to anything.
    • The Park distance camera screen UI doesn’t even match up well with the rest of the UI in the car. Lower navigation panel is not there. The Autopark and Surround view links as well as the “x” and “mute” can be easily lost in the image.
Boot kick 😀
Coming out of the market with bags in each hand.. would be nice to slide my foot under the rear bumper to lift the boot... ummm .. trunk.

Mercedes, BMW and Porsche do.
My 2019 Mercedes is supposed to do that but it doesn’t return to the correct position half the time, and I have to hit the seat memory button instead. As for the foot-kick trunk open feature, that also doesn’t work 90% of attempts on the Mercedes. So if Lucid can figure out something legacy carmakers can’t get to work consistently then that would be great, but I’m not gonna fault Lucid much if if it’s glitchy.

I’d like a slight delay with a notification “beep” when pushing the Frunk close button from inside the frunk. I don’t like having to worry it’s going to hit me in the head on the way down…

I’ve had cars with that feature before and have never been able to get it to actually work.

That said, it would be nice if the remote could do the trunk also and not just the frunk

I have owned three SL550’s and the foot under the trunk option has worked perfectly on every one….

My last 3 SL550’s have had the trunk open option with the foot and all have worked perfectly….

Our Volvo's (XC40 EV) foot kick is very reliable if you do it with confidence.

Hmm maybe I should have had the dealer check it out, I just assumed it was buggy. Lease is up in 2 months though so I’m not gonna mess with it now.

This looks promising…(from Tesla2Lucid on twitter, still waiting for delivery of my Grand Touring)
