Gravity Testing!

I hear this really often… is it because of the ride height?
We had one once and I remember it fondly

But re. 7+ adults AND their bags, you're into Suburban territory....no way Gravity gets there

Believe. Frunk will be our saviour

Even without frunk looks like 30ish cu ft behind third row. F150 lightning frunk is like 12 cu ft, and considering howmuch deeper the gravitys frunk can go, I think around 20.Combining those is MUCH more than a suburban. Trust in it @digiboxer

I love your comment! Because this is exactly where I am. The best vehicle I ever owned for transporting up to eight individuals, half of them elderly, a small dog, and all our junk, was my last ICE vehicle, a 2016 Honda Odyssey.

My mum’s Model X for carrying six people? A joke, like you said. Those two seats all the way in the third row are the perfect penalty box for two of your least favourite aunties who’ve invited themselves on a road trip to Zion NP. But don’t get me started.

Like you, I hope that whatever Lucid does with the Gravity, they design it around the easy entry and exit, and cossetted conveyance, of six to eight elderly people, and their stuff.
Agree, We had 2006 Honda Odyssey, it was favorite for our family, from toddlers kids to their going off to high school, camping, baseball games, Tai Kwon Do classmates, prom night, lots of memory.

I hope someone make a minivan EV someday, if not, I’ll stick with the most spacious and versatile EV SUV I can find.

I still feel somehow that the Gravity will have more space the the ID Buzz

Oh that wont even be a contest. Id buzz doesnt have fold flat seats even. I really do love it, it just doesnt have the typical practicality of a minivan.

Just watched this Canadian reviewer taking 6 people + a wheel chair.

If they can make a TRUE TRUE 7 seater for Adults, it'll be a breakthrough in car design. So here's hoping!
The lack of roof slope towards the rear suggests it may be more adult-friendly. Then again, be aware that this is a mule and there will undoubtedly be many changes as the design progresses. One suggestion that I would offer is to have the rear window wiper hang under the spoiler rather than drilled through the glass at the bottom. Our 2018 Lexus RX450h has it that way; it is trick. Another advantage is that it keeps the blades out of the sun, so they should last longer.

No, this is the final design. Even if it isnt, they still dont want a slope because lucid was going for practicality with the gravity.

In terms of body design, you’re probably right. In terms of little things like what wipers to use and how they attach, they’re likely still making tweaks.

Bodes well for adults although at my age, I doubt I'll be climbing back there lol!

Considering the wipers werent even on the track test, yeah thats true. For that specifically though, its hard to imagine that lucid wouldnt hide them behind the spoiler, for not only looks but also aero.

Gravity needs to roll out fast to market. Rivian R1S has higher demand than R1T, but took them more than a year to get production out after pre-production SUV revealed. Tesla can keep put holding out CyberTruck production. I bet significant portion of their 1M reservation already gone to R1T, Lightning and Hummer EV.

People can’t wait as competition is getting fierce.

Completely agree. Lucid needs to hit it out of the park with Gravity or they risk not surviving! SUV are (unfortunately) where the lions share of the market is. Lucid should take ALL of the lessons learned on the Air and should also have focus groups with current Air owners to get feedback before launch. Hopefully this is in the plan @mcr16

I have a pre-increase R1S reservation and without knowing any details on the Gravity, I plan on keeping it. Perhaps there will be an Air loyalty/ conquest offer from Lucid.

People with airs get priority for reservations on gravity. And from what I know about air sapphire, 80-90 percent of your value can be traded in(not really sure if this was true)
