My first drive of the Gravity

The green looks great, but surprisingly the Silver looked fantastic too, it will be a tough choice.

My reaction, too. I have never liked silver as a car color, but I've seen the Gravity in Lunar Titanium twice, once at each Miami showroom. There was something about that particular shade on that particular vehicle that looked great, and I've been toying ever since with switching my order from the Aurora Green. Of course, the order configurator is still showing the Titanium as "Late Availability" without any information as to why or when.

Here's how it compares to the Air's Cosmos Silver in outdoor lighting:

Oh I know - I just never got used to the yoke. I’m sure given enough time I would have, although I still maintain that not having a full ring is extremely dangerous in an emergency situation, when muscle memory kicks in. Grabbing air is not great. (Does not apply to a steer-by-wire yoke like the Cybertruck)

The gravity took very little time to get used to because it still has a full ring.
Really happy to hear this. While I've trained myself to use the yoke in my Model X Plaid over the past three years (erasing or bypassing a lot of muscle memory), and actually thought at the time of purchase the yoke was a cool concept, I do sometimes find myself wanting more than the thumb-nubs to execute a 360 rotation of the yoke (read: I miss having a full wheel for hand-over-hand maneuvers haha!)

I also really miss having a directional stalk. Swiping the screen to engage forward and reverse is fine, albeit also a little annoying / distracting, since it slides content on the display to the right whenever it "senses" you're going to need to swipe to drive / reverse.

Gravity can't get in my garage soon enough -- then it's 'Cars and Bids' for the 2022 MX Plaid 🎉

I’ve gotten to drive it now too, more than once, and it is, without question, the best SUV I’ve ever driven.

I hate SUVs and large cars in general. This is the first one I really *liked* driving. It shouldn’t handle the way it does. It just shouldn’t.

And the comfort is unparalleled.
You might be the wrong person to comment if you haggle large vehicles and suvs…. I love range rovers, and even tahoes occasionally.

Sure, I make no claims that I’m the right person to compare it for someone who drives SUVs all day.

But my wife likes SUVs, and she’s driven it too, and we agree on our assessments of it.

So I’ll happily comment on dynamics, driving, space, etc., but I’m certainly not going to be able to answer a question comparing it to a Tahoe specifically, if that makes sense.

I've owned five land cruisers, a sequoia, a bunch of pick-up trucks, and a host of other SUVs (MB GL500, Mitsubishi Montero, Isuzu Trooper, Ineos Grenadier, Land Rover Defender 110 (the original version), Chevy S-10 blazer, and an Acura MDX) and have rented countless others - the Gravity hands-down is by far the best driving on road of any of those.

I would hope so! lol. Those are all real SUVs (body on frame, solid rear axle.)
It seems like a Cayenne would be the benchmark for crossover SUV handling.

My personal benchmarks are the Cayenne GTS and Porsche Taycan/ Audi E-Tron GT. The latter is of course completely unfair due to the lower CG, but it’s my high water mark for (sporty) EV ride, dynamics, etc. The former is the best dynamically of the Cayennes and hence probably the best sporty SUV. I hope/ expect the Gravity to beat the Cayenne- lower center of gravity, more power, better response, and I’m hoping it can approach the J1/ Taycan platform in other areas like handling and NVH (the air suspension, RWS and balance over the traction limit on the J1 is very impressive). I’m looking forwards to finding out.

Good reply sir..

No embargo or anything. Happy to answer specific questions.

I’m not an automotive YouTube channel, but I am happy to answer whatever I can. :)
Being that you drive an air and drove a gravity, what do u think has a better drive, like handling wise, comfort wise etc

See if a trade-ins are available in CA. You may save some tax, depending on how it’s handled in your state.

It depends. The Gravity is much quieter, and my Air is already very quiet; the G is almost unsettlingly quiet.

It’s super responsive, and its steering radius is better than the Air. But my DE has 3-400 more HP and is a lighter car, so it has a bit more oomph than a GT Gravity.

Comfort wise I think the gravity is more comfortable. And the Air is already really comfortable.

Honestly, they drive very similarly, which is insane to say.

I find my gt to be very quiet on speeds under 75 ish mph or so…. The wind noise is just kinda annoying, feels like left mirror and yes I’ve had them redo the window clips and pinch them together etc. It’s quiet but I could use another 5-7 db’s!

Sounds like gravity is for me!
