Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Good to know, thanks! I had a DA assigned (emailed them yesterday) but now none assigned. VIN was assigned on Saturday and shows as still in production, so guessing I'm still a couple of weeks from delivery.
My new DA is out of the office until next week, called the Tysons Corner location and got a super helpful rep on the phone. My car is already through production and ready to ship (this is not refelcted in my dashboard yet). They switched me to home delivery with no issues, and said expect 2-3 weeks for delivery, so time to line up financing.

Congratulations, Does Lucid charge you any extra fee for home delivery, I thought it only allowes the GT trim?

Same with me as well, DA is out, got a helpful rep in NY and will be having home delivery free of charge in next 1-2 weeks.

Just took delivery. Man what an awesome ride. Definitely worth the wait😊
My DA a really took the time the important features to get me rolling.

Grats...now I can't wait to see what you do with the sound system since you've been talking about it so much =)

Ha ha . My first stop was my stereo guy. He is putting together a killer Morel Setup . The problem is after 90 days Lucid is going to software lock couple speakers . Since there is 2 amps. I am thinking they are going to disable the Amp dedicated for the Dolby Atmos speakers. We just have to wait and see .

Yes…The delivery was pretty Impressive …They ordered a Lyft to pick me up …And yes…there was a cap, mug and couple other items in the frunk 😊😊

I just upgraded from Pure to touring (legacy pricing) with a glass roof and 20" wheels (everything else is standard). Zenith red with Tahoe interior. I upgraded today and have a VIN assigned already. I haven't seen the Tahoe interior in person, as my center (Plano) doesn't have a model with that interior, so it's a bit of a gamble.

I am in DFW - Does anyone have recommendations for a shop to perform PPF? I've never done PPF, but given I plan to hang onto this car for a while, I'd like to research this along with any other recommendations the group may have to preserve the paint. Also, any recommendations on tint types to lower heat while improving some privacy will be welcome.
I did full body PPF with xpel fusion plus- this ppf film is clear and has ceramic coating. Came to about 10k, but worth, it already save a paint chip from a stone ( film got damaged, small dent that was fixed, no paint damage ) and a brush against a landscape light that made a big scar along the passenger door- again, no paint damage. It aleady save me a couple of thousand dollars and I only had the car 1 month!

I am taking advantage of the $7500 discount and upgrading to the Touring from the Pure. Question I have is should I go with the 19" over the 20" tires? I saw that the 20" diminishes the overall EPA from 425 to 380-/+. The car will only be driven on sunny days and maybe on road trips to Ohio from MD.
For spirited driving 20 inch, the 19's are less grippy for a car this powerful. Thats why I went for 20. If you just drive casually, 19 should be fine.

I guess ill be the case study for 2023 initiated reservations...I have a Lucid Pure reservation since July 2021 and am getting tired of waiting...so decided to spend more on the Touring...and the email response from my SA is non-existant and she just won't reply to my emails...so super grateful for this forum and all the input...!
Touring is worth it with all the additional features!

1) Wow
2) Wowza

Successful delivery but I have A LOT to discuss about the home delivery process.

The car is fantastic but I didn't get much done because of how delivery went. I'll be back tomorrow with the details.
