Wiper self destruct

So I was driving in the rain the other day and the wipers were on and the passenger side wiper dragged, turned sideways and bent, flopped around a few times and then tucked itself away and shut off. No warning lights are on. One of the odder car behaviors I've seen. The driver side wiper now comes on alone and is fine. Service is coming out to fix it. I will report back once they have done their work.

Did you have the wiper recall done?

My car is new this fall so I was not sent any recall info.
