UX 2.5 OTA Update

Bass distorts the shit out of the speakers. Im so done with the POS stereo. If the speakers blow they blow.

I agree there is too much bass distortion now and the volume increase is way over the top. I wouldn’t quite characterize it as a POS stereo though. I think it can be tweaked a bit. I doubt they will dial back on the bass ( because this is what people seem to like ) , but I really feel they should get the volume down to something reasonable. With some songs , if I turn it up a bit for a better volume, there is incredible harshness emanating from the front center speaker, such that the vocals are really difficult to listen too. This seems to only apply to Atmos tracks.

I think the new sound is great, but it's way too loud. I used to keep the volume around 55% for most Atmos songs. Now it's too loud beyond even 25%. Craziness

Yeah, it’s way way over the top. It makes many tracks difficult to listen to. I find myself constantly trying to adjust the volume so that my ears and cerebral cortex don’t explode.

Curb rash alert is only enabled when you're in a well-lit area. When I was in my garage the feature was grayed out, but it was on when I pulled out of the garage into the light.
I’ll check it in broad daylight tomorrow.

Just spoke to customer care. They said I never got the email about the tape because 2022 models like mine — even with SSP — are too old to get the upgraded audio. He said at the time Lucids weren’t built with the required hardware for this upgrade, only 2023 and 24 models

Is that correct? Can @mcr16 weigh in? I thought all lucid owners were getting an email one way or the other
Nope, that’s nonsense. My DE was delivered 1/19/22 and it applied.

Mine is 22 GT and I got an email. I dropped it off last week for service. Will let you know when I get it back later this week.
They replaced the tape. Picking it up later today.

Is there a difference between the A pillar tape fix and the driver+passenger footwell fix? Just scheduled a mobile appointment and the rep said the former is all that’s needed

They're the same thing.

Same.

The same fix, but for your own peace of mind, just verify that you are getting the fix titled: TSC-B0824-001-01. I'm assuming you do have SSP.

Is anybody still waiting for 2.4? I complained and they just told me to be patient and that they are still rolling this out! I don’t understand the hold up and am frustrated so wondering if I’m one of the few or many?

2.5.0 is the latest. It only started rolling out about one week ago. You will definitely get it, but you’ll need some patience. Usually the rollout takes a full two weeks. Complaining does not move you forward in line.

I'm waiting as well. Anticipation makes the receipt that much sweeter.

I just had the update pushed and immediately installed it. Now, I never got the email about this update and whether or not I need the tape fix, but my car had that tape replaced about a month ago. Anyway, I’m pretty disappointed with the audio. It sounds exactly the same as before. I have no idea what people are talking about. Maybe because the service center didn’t actually put the service bulletin number on my report it’s not flagged correctly?

Something seems off. You’ll definitely know when you have it. The press sounds alone default to a very loud setting that you will have to adjust down

Just spoke to service. Yep they did the work, but no they didn’t flag my car as having it. Looks like a service advisor will have to push that change tomorrow since they are all gone for the day today

Yeah I had the louder defaults . But the upgrade in overall sound just isn’t enabled. Service needs to push that out to be manually they said
