Sure, but they were including it either way - the incremental (CapEx) cost to offering FSD was $0, as LiDAR was included on every car.
Lucid is only including the LiDAR if you pay for DD Pro, which means the incremental cost to Lucid to offer DD Pro isn’t $0; it’s the cost of the LiDAR unit and additional cameras, at minimum.
That’s what I meant by it was easier for Tesla to offer free FSD than Lucid; it cost Tesla nothing to do so from a hardware perspective.
(Unless they were also only including LiDAR on cars that had FSD? But I don’t think that was the case)
