Hi there! I just received Tuxmats for my Air GT. Beginning in 2024, Lucid starting using mat fasteners (the male part on the floor of the car and female part on the mats).

Tuxmat does not offer 2025 model year mats for the Air GT, but does for 2024. I assumed that even though I have a 2025 Air GT that the mats would be the same for 2024, however, the Tuxmats I received do NOT have the ability to mate with the male retention part on the floor of my car. Has anyone else experienced this?

I also cannot find any way to get in touch with a human at Tuxmat…for contact info on their website all they offer is a physical address in Canada…

Hmm - my 2022 GT's Tuxmats have a couple domes on the end of the mat nearest the seat. The underside of the domes are velcro which mates with the car's velcro disk on the carpet.

I've found Tuxmat to be pretty responsive at [email protected]

Thanks. Here’s what I’ve got (photos below). At first I just assumed that the bottom part comes off of the mat so that the mat can mate with the post on the floor of the car, but these things seem impossible to separate…

It looks like Lucid changed the floor attachment to a more secure post-type thing. My floor attachment is velcro, like your mats.

Yes, this supposedly changed with the 2024 model year (at least for the AGT)…

Hi all, the new Tuxmats that work with the anchors on the 2025 Lucid Airs will not be available until at least March of 2025 according to Tuxmat Customer Service --who were awesome, BTW! Unfortunately, I need to return the mats I bought but their return process actually involves cutting the mats and sending them pictures to get a refund. So it looks like I'll need to get through a Northeast winter with Santa Cruz carpets and just the Lucid all weather mats. Oh well, major 1st world problem!!

God I hate that so much. They made me do it too and I refused. They eventually sent me a shipping label.

Contributing to the local dump with a bunch of floor mats that will never degrade isn’t my idea of a good time.

Really soured me on TuxMats, if I’m being honest.

The second time they wanted me to do that too (for a different mat) and refused to send me a shipping label, so I used my credit card’s extended return policy and gave away the mats.

Check out 3d mats. I think they’ve updated.
I am going to put a call into them, but their website does not show that they have 2025's yet. GRRRR....

The 3D mats for 2025 Airs are out of stock with an ETA of January 6th. However, with my Santa Cruz interior, I am worried that the carpet to the right of the accelerator pedal will get absolutely trashed with the 3D mats as they do not run all the way up to the center console molding the way that the Tuxmats do. I have reached out to Tuxmats to see if rather than cutting these up and throwing them away I can use them until they come out with the 2025 version and then either send them back to them or sell them used and get some kind of a discount off of the 2025 version. With the original carpet mats in place in my car, I can use the 2024 version of the Tuxmats. That sits better with me then trashing these brand new mats!

They made me do the same thing, cut up the mats when their website erroneously stated the mats would fit a 23 Pure. At the time it didn’t. Unbelievably inane way of ‘returning’ mats. I went with 3D and think they look better. The coverage is fine for me, if not quite the level of the Tux, but aesthetics are important to me and I’ve used 3D mats in a number of my cars.

Agreed. No question that the 3D's look better -- and I had them for 6 years in my Tesla M3P and liked them very much. Anyone out there who has Santa Cruz Interior with the 3D's care to provide feedback on how well they feel their carpet is getting protected?

What's the primary reason(s) that you all are looking to avoid using the Lucid mats?

(my car's arriving earlier than expected in Maine and while I'd be way open to something better, the house brand may be my best immediate option at this point)

The Lucid mats are fine, but they cover a limited area and leave a lot of carpet exposed. Since neither 3D nor Tuxmat are available right now, the Lucid mats are likely you best short term option…that’s what I ordered to have available when my car arrived…

Tuxmats is letting me keep the 2024 version until the 2025 mats are available, at which time they will replace these with those. Pretty outstanding customer service IMHO!

I had the 3D mats first, and didn't feel they protected the carpet next to the accelerator pedal. I wound up giving them away for the cost of shipping, which was substantial.

I wonder if you could punch holes in the front mat you have so they wouldn't shift.

Great Idea!!!!!! I will do that (with a drill)!! Now that I do not need to give them back...

I have the Santa Monica interior which is basically the same (but exclusive to DE). The side carpet does get dirty, but not insanely so; it shampoos out nicely a couple times a year.
