Coming from a full-time music professor I couldn't agree more.No better way to listen to my Bizet…
That must have changed over time. My 2018 Model X has the satellite version.I note that Tesla also uses streaming based SXM, like the Lucid. So if you’re coming from Tesla your experience will be the same.
“Like many others” because generally speaking Lucid makes fantastic vehicles that have a few rough edges that I (and others) expect from a start up. I don’t shy away from criticism of Lucid (or any other company for that matter) and I do not personalize my posts.I find it curious that when someone has anything negative to say, there is inevitably a group of people who get incredibly defensive and sometimes even to the point of being rude. How do we know the OP didn't do research? I did research and asked a lot of questions about some of the issues I read. The sales people addressed most of my concerns so I took a chance hoping things would iron out. I'm hoping the issues I've had so far will get resolved.
So Blue Lectroid, should there be a forum rule that states only positive experiences should be posted? Like many others, you seem to be down on posting anything negative about the car. How would anyone doing research be steered in a different direction with only positive posts? I think it's helpful in many ways when multiple people complain about the same thing. It shows a pattern of consistency. If only one person complained about the audio or whatever most people would treat it as an aberration rather than some inherent problem. Forums like these are about sharing experiences and learning new things. I don't see anything wrong with the OPs post. They shared their experience and that's it.
I've had the first Gravity in NH and at this point I wish I didn't. Yes, the car is powerful and drives well, but so did the Tesla S I had for 9 years. The software problems are inexcusable in my opinion. They have a number of engineers from Tesla, should have learned something about software: Connectivity issues, key issues, won't self park into the garage, satellite radio works half the time, sun screens don't go up reliably, etc. Happy to get rid of my lease if I could....
what does the Lucid support say?
not sure what the lease agreement say, does that allow you to change hands? I've used www.swapalease.com before but not for a Lucid.
If you can post parts of the leasing contract we can have a glance.
A reboot, on the fly, would be useful. On our ‘18 S we used that option often.I've had the first Gravity in NH and at this point I wish I didn't. Sure, for you people who prefer the Air. But the real benefit of the Gravity is that you can fit a player piano in when the rear seats are folded.Wax cylinder or bust
Lucid has talked about fixes coming. There's been one update so far, and they've said another is coming in early September. As a non-owner who is killing time here waiting for my Gravity to be built, my sense is that Lucid keeps its cards close to its chest, and doesn't say much about updates before they're released. If someone on here speaks for Lucid, it would be nice to hear about future fixes. My Air had some issues (some as a result of my confusion) but all have been fixed OTA. Dream Drive works as advertised and I hope they expand Hands Free to all divided highways.
FWIW - Lucid is not alone here. Tesla and Rivian both keep their updates on the down low until they begin to rollout.Lucid has talked about fixes coming. True but Tesla and Rivian seem to be pushing them out more frequently also. It would be nice to see Lucid get a little more aggressive with its updates. Not necessarily features but bug fixes should be a little more frequent. I've seen examples of where Tesla & Rivian have deployed an update with a critical flaw and within 1 to 3 days another one is pushed to fix. The Creature Comfort \ Keep Mode bug should've been resolved more quickly along with whatever is causing peoples sporadic key fob issues.FWIW - Lucid is not alone here.
