Too Frustrating

I find it curious that when someone has anything negative to say, there is inevitably a group of people who get incredibly defensive and sometimes even to the point of being rude. How do we know the OP didn't do research? I did research and asked a lot of questions about some of the issues I read. The sales people addressed most of my concerns so I took a chance hoping things would iron out. I'm hoping the issues I've had so far will get resolved.

So Blue Lectroid, should there be a forum rule that states only positive experiences should be posted? Like many others, you seem to be down on posting anything negative about the car. How would anyone doing research be steered in a different direction with only positive posts? I think it's helpful in many ways when multiple people complain about the same thing. It shows a pattern of consistency. If only one person complained about the audio or whatever most people would treat it as an aberration rather than some inherent problem. Forums like these are about sharing experiences and learning new things. I don't see anything wrong with the OPs post. They shared their experience and that's it.
“Like many others” because generally speaking Lucid makes fantastic vehicles that have a few rough edges that I (and others) expect from a start up. I don’t shy away from criticism of Lucid (or any other company for that matter) and I do not personalize my posts.

The OP gave the impression through their own words that they did little to no research about the Gravity before leasing one and the things they complained about could have been ascertained by spending 15 minutes on this forum. To clearly not do that and then to come here to spend the time complaining? Thats’s just something I will never understand…sorry.

I've had the first Gravity in NH and at this point I wish I didn't. Yes, the car is powerful and drives well, but so did the Tesla S I had for 9 years. The software problems are inexcusable in my opinion. They have a number of engineers from Tesla, should have learned something about software: Connectivity issues, key issues, won't self park into the garage, satellite radio works half the time, sun screens don't go up reliably, etc. Happy to get rid of my lease if I could....

Prefer the 9-year-old Tesla to a Gravity: Got it. Happy that you got one of the flawless Teslas. Why did you switch brands ?

This is a good place to list the disappointments.

Posting specifically about problems allows us all to learn and help each other.

Just complaining is OK but not usefull to the community or even fun to read.

This site has nurtured me during early frustrations and learned me much. Some of the folk here are a gift to mankind. Early adopters who can afford the full-price and endure the teething pain of "Dream Edition Air" ownership have much to say.

If I were a moderator I would add a dad joke to posts that are just venting disappointments. Most if not all of my early posts were "moderated" to some extent. I should have made more jokes.

@Cosmo Cruz always great to see you here!

I read this Forum for several months before deciding to take the plunge. The wonderful result was that the few remaining issues with the Air I was ready for and my personal experience was actually very positive compared to my fears…but I had appropriately set my expectations.

One HUGE difference this Forum made was having me lease a new ‘25 AGT rather than buying a much less expensive earlier model year. The ‘25 I have has been exceptional and overall quality of my build is very, very solid. Absent this forum I would have opted to save a bunch of money and gotten a ‘24 or ‘23…

what does the Lucid support say?

not sure what the lease agreement say, does that allow you to change hands? I've used www.swapalease.com before but not for a Lucid.

If you can post parts of the leasing contract we can have a glance.

A reboot, on the fly, would be useful. On our ‘18 S we used that option often.

If someone on here speaks for Lucid, it would be nice to hear about future fixes. My Air had some issues (some as a result of my confusion) but all have been fixed OTA. Dream Drive works as advertised and I hope they expand Hands Free to all divided highways.
Lucid has talked about fixes coming. There's been one update so far, and they've said another is coming in early September. As a non-owner who is killing time here waiting for my Gravity to be built, my sense is that Lucid keeps its cards close to its chest, and doesn't say much about updates before they're released.
