Software update 2.3.0

Newbie question. Got my Pure on 6/30 so this will be my first update rodeo. How will I know that it is available? Will the app have a message? Will the car tell me when I get in?
Can I update and charge at the same time?

Thanks
You'll get an alert from the app and on the Pilot Panel in the car. You can initiate the install from either. Charging is paused during the installation.

Pardon my ignorance, but why are OTA slowly being rolled out to the owners? Is it a bandwidth capacity issue or something else?
With the new update system that was sent via OTA a few months back, the rollout is actually quicker than it used to be. I sometimes had to wait almost a week to get the update. A few times early on, I had to reach out to CS to have them push me the update because I didn't get it within the first week.

I am on the Early OTA Update List, and just got notified, but I think I'll wait until I'm back in town before I install it.
I'm on the list, too.
Haven't received the notice, but no rush for me.
It'll come some time.

After around 3k miles of driving in the last 6 days and using Lucid navigation exclusively, the arrival range was very accurate. This was setting cruise within 5mph of posted speed. If you are that far off on range on arrival, look at your speedo. The higher that number is over posted speed limit., the more off the range on arrival will be. I found nothing impacts it more than speed. Hills, wind, heat, cold, or a splattering of bugs in Nebraska. Speed kills efficiency.
I saw you took in the Susquehanna River and Rockville Bridge. Glad y'all made it safely to VA.

Does this fix the headlights turning off after the animation when you are in proximity with your key?

It would do the slow animation wind up then stay on a few updates ago then it stopped doing that and now just immediately turns off after the animation and I hate that.

Most companies slow roll because if there were a major issue they’d rather not brick every vehicle in their fleet and maybe just brick some if there were truly some underlying issue that doesn’t come up in QA verification and testing from their side.

Cross traffic protection saved my bacon this weekend. I was backing out from a spot and, due to a van being next to me, couldn't see well to my right. The cross traffic protection alerted and then stopped my vehicle as someone came flying through the parking lot.

I appreciate that Lucid is giving us even more customization, but that's one feature in the update I don't think I'll be utilizing.
I’ve been requesting the alert without intervention feature for cross traffic since May 2022, as the car would slam on the brakes when people would let me back out of spots. Lucid listened! I think it’s pretty cool owners can request things and Lucid actively looks into ways to pull it off. Best car ever!

correct, most companies. CrowdStrike says Hi

Leave the Lucid App open on your phone. You will get a notification when an update is available to install. It will tell you the expected time to install and require 20% SoC on the car.

Just got mine earlier this morning and installed. Like others, it took about 90 minutes.

Just installed, I'm very excited about not having the surround cameras constantly pop up in stop and go traffic!
I'm on the "Early" list and I think I got the update alert on Wednesday morning. My car was parked at the airport with a 12% charge so I wasn't going to roll the dice on that. :)

I haven't received anything yet. My car is in my garage and connected to my home WiFi. The WiFi signal was weak, but I just boosted it. Do you know if the updates would download over WiFi or have to be strictly over cellular? If so, I will need to disconnect it from WiFi for some time and see if I get the update.

Mine routinely download over WiFi

it downloads over both connections. i didn't have Wi-Fi to my garage for a very long time but Lucid continued to download OTA updates during that time. now i've Wi-Fi and it downloads over Wi-Fi.

Is there any evidence that leaving the app open makes a difference in the timing of when the update becomes available to you?
