Significant price drop!

I order my RWD pure on Sep 2021. I went to UTC San Diego August 6 to inquire about the promotion. The SA modified my order to AWD, DDP and SSP. On Tuesday my DA call me to confirm the update and assign me a VIN. The car was slated to go to Chicago but it was in AZ so Lucid redirected my car to Costa Mesa CA and it arrived this past Saturday. My delivery date was Aug 26 but since the car arrived so rescheduled to pick up on Aug 20.
Congrats and welcome. Please join the San Diego Discord group for info on local events, etc. https://discord.gg/AmbsKRWh

Why does it say " Touring, Zenith Red, Santa Cruz Interior, 20” Aero Lite Wheels, DDPro, Surreal Sound Pro, Glass Canopy Roof and AWD Drivetrain, ordered May 30, 2021."

Did you order a Touring and then switch to a Pure? I remember you were thinking of a a used GT vs a new Pure. Something to consider.

Still, this car is phenomenal, your Tesla, EV6 dont come close. I wouldn't let 5k make you walk away.
I had forgotten to change signature when I revised the order at the end of 2021. I am sure the car is wonderful. And yeah, paying an extra 6% (5K) would not necessarily be a deal breaker if I had not lost all confidence and enthusiasm for the company. Quite simply, don't like the misinformation and poor and inaccurate communication. I wish everyone best of luck and enjoyment with their buying and ownership experience and likewise hope the company does well, especially as a share holder.

I would be pissed and cancel too if I reserved AWD but won't getting the discounts while RWD buyers get it. Sure car is great but not worth carrying that feeling of unfairness so I understand @des16

Try showing them the invoice that was posted here with the RWD? I haven't checked if it shows the credits. Maybe ask for his agent too and cc on the email. If they still don't want to believe you then can reply that you'll cancel though there's risk that once you cancel and they finally recognize and allow discounts to AWD then you'll miss out. Tbh when I was talking to sales and delivery back in December there was large disconnect of information with their team and I was the one even educating them on some info that came from their email announcements!

@des16 youre getting free DDP and SSP but not free AWD?

I wonder how long this promo would last. For the AWD free upgrade theyre probably just clearing inventory. The DDP and SSP seems more of a long term promo

If it helps anyone, here’s my included equipment:

Mine is on the truck coming from the Florida service center! ETA in Atlanta 1800 to 2000 tomorrow. It’s been about two weeks of complete car obsession started by Lucid’s promotions and subsequent price drop that I saw in some random Google ad placement.

The Lucid people have been fantastic and more than make up for any lack of automation in the leasing process itself.

Zenith Red, Grand Touring, Tahoe Interior on the way! Now I’m just worried about it arriving in perfect condition. As a former Tesla owner, worried about scratches, paint defects, body panel alignment issues but haven’t read so much about those for the 23 model year.

Same specs as mine. You will love it as I love mine!

This promo only has 15 days left.

You could try talking to a different person?
I have called several times, left several messages, and heard back from only one person since I last posted to be told, sorry, no go. They refuse to budge in terms of offering me a car with the deals you posted. Really hard to understand. But again thanks for all your suggestions. The good news is that I just got a delivery time on my Rivian. Of course I terms of cars, totally different and I would not even try to compare them. What I can compare is the quality of the messaging and interactions with their staff. It's like day and night. Ever since Rivian's debacle over the price increase and rolling it back, which at least for me was great, they have been spot on and very clear on their communications. Long ago I was assigned a delivery specialist who was always available -- never waited more than a few hours for a call back. They have an on-line portal to schedule calls as well, and I have always been able to schedule a call the same day. And most important, they seem informed and knowledgable, unlike many of the people I have dealt with at Lucid, if and when I can reach them. Again, not comparing vehicles, but if pre-ownership experience is any indication, I honestly am somewhat relieved.

I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve purchased 2 Lucids (1 I sold to get the second one). I was going to add another Pure, and I had the specific vehicle reserved. They would not offer the RWD pricing that others are getting, even though it would’ve been my 3rd purchase from them and I had an early reservation for the third one (but it wasn’t confirmed as RWD). I just couldnt pay more than someone who had a RWD reservation for the same car. I’m up for my Rivian as well, so I’m just going that direction.

Just in case anyone hasn't received the email from Lucid, the RWD>AWD offer was a 'private' offering to RWD holders. I received the email yesterday, coincidentally the day I picked mine up.

As an aside, the car is indeed fabulous!!! Now that I've understood the ambient lighting within the car, I just need to figure out why when I activate the 'easy entry/exit', the seat doesn't return to the position in my profile. Probably OE.

As an edit to my above post, I'll now put in the Bobby 'Resolved' label in the easy entry issue. It seems to be working fine now and reverting to my profile position after buckling up. Dare I say the car has been perfect thus far, no issues? I should never have said that. ;)

Glad you enjoy your new ride. I can relate to that overwhelming joyous feeling.

Also, I have a question. How do you “reserve“ a RWD? Isnt the deposit just a generic “pure” model?

Back in 2021 you had the opportunity to reserve a car in several configurations. Thus you specified what it was you wanted (RWD, AWD, trim levels, etc.). So it wasn't a generic reservation.

Ah, I would assume that if you didnt have that option, you still get free awd?

Thank goodness. I would have been incredibly tempted to replace my GV60P if that deal were available and I would have had to (a) take the depreciation hit on the GV60P and (b) get no sales tax benefit on the sale of my GV60P.
