We're participating in an exciting hackathon to design innovative accessories specifically for Lucid Motors vehicles, and we'd love to hear from you! Our goal is to create a product that enhances the driving experience, particularly in diverse environments like Saudi Arabia.

We would really appreciate your thoughts on the following✨:
  1. What accessories or features do you feel are missing in your Lucid vehicle?
  2. Are there any particular challenges you face with your car
  3. What would improve your comfort, convenience, or entertainment during daily commutes or road trips?
  4. Are there specific materials or technologies you wish were integrated into your Lucid?
Your insights will directly help us shape a solution that fits the needs of Lucid owners. We’re open to all suggestions!

Thanks in advance for your input, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts!

A better key fob, or a case for the fob.

What organization are you with? Lucid? After market company?

An accessory that holds the sunvisor base magnetically so one can temporarily remove it when it's not needed.

I'm not sure that such a device could be retrofitted to the windshield.

We bought a used Dream Edition to replace one that got totaled in an accident. The first time it went to a service center, Lucid found that the driver-side visor had been detached from the windshield and later glued back in place. The visor fell off during the service visit, and Lucid had to replace the entire windshield. There must be something about the glass, the adhesive, and/or the attachment setup that requires factory attachment of the visor to the windshield. (Lucid did this under warranty.)

  1. What accessories or features do you feel are missing in your Lucid vehicle?
    Head-up display
    Better speaker EQ tuning
More display dimming option (I think we only have display dimming control over the pilot panel)
  2. Are there any particular challenges you face with your car
DreamDrivePro: Think 360 camera visual could use more object detection visual with LiDAR?
  3. What would improve your comfort, convenience, or entertainment during daily commutes or road trips?
    More audio format support
TIDAL: automatic song pause when "engine"/system is off; the playlist or artist play starts all the way from the beginning when the "engine"/system is on

  4. Are there specific materials or technologies you wish were integrated into your Lucid?
    Did I mention the Head-up display? :D
Thinking about replacing the rearview mirror with a digital rearview mirror (
    example)

TIDAL: automatic song pause when "engine"/system is off; the playlist or artist play starts all the way from the beginning when the "engine"/system is on
All you need to do is pause the song when you park. It'll start from that spot when you get back and unpause. I've made it part of my parking routine - thumb to pause and index finger to put it in park.

I'm fully aware of that.
I just wish it was an automatic pause without pressing the knob/button... or at least have an option/setting to configure that way.

just really surprised nobody has engineered a pop-up cell-phone holder built into the car. i've seen plenty of aftermarket holders, but in 2024, why wouldn't they be a part of the interior design?

1. Dual wireless charging pads in holders
2. Ability to retrofit items:
a. DreamDrive Pro (up from DreamDrive Premium).
b. SOC chip (or whatever it's called from 2025 models).
2. I like the idea of a digital rear view mirror, especially considering how many cameras are in the back of our cars and how bad the rear view is from the mirror (and even worse with the shade).
3. A different frunk folding cover that you can fold open AND close the trunk at the same time, rather than remove.
4. Additional trunk organization options
5. Android Wear OS app
6. Some sort of organizer option for behind the lower control screen.

Dual (and faster) wireless charging pads in holders
better steering wheels controls to flip between audio sources and channels.
Why do I have to press a hundred buttons to get DDP to engage?
I love the pilot panel but I think we need a knob below it
I don' t like the whole center console; I don't like that I have to basically keep my lid a quarter open for my drinks all the time, and if you open it all the way, it's basically just a big cavity, it's also really difficult to reach back into the far back pocket.
option to have the rear HVAC on all the time or not
better sleep/wake; I know they have drastically improved this, but I run a lot of quick errands, where I'll go somewhere and hop out, and come back and it seems like it take the car a while to wake, I feel like I'm sitting there perpetually clicking the gear shift until the car recognizes it.
being able to set a drive mode and have it stay there even after you leave/come back.
App needs way more

Get the @TWRAPS charger. You won’t regret it.

For what?

The twraps charger solves this problem too, as it basically serves as a lid for the cavity. It’s great.

Use keep mode. I basically use it 100% of the time I’m out with the car now. It uses almost no battery, keeps the climate perfect, and the car is ready to drive. Zero complaints.

It’s a toggle when you select creature comfort mode (which would also work, but write stuff on the screens to assuage people walking by that your pet will be fine).

being able to set a drive mode and have it stay there even after you leave/come back.
This works if you use keep mode, most of the time. Unfortunately, if the car does fall asleep, the drive mode will go back to Smooth every time, and there isn’t anything Lucid can do about that.

The starting drive mode *must* be the drive mode used for EPA testing, and so it will remain Smooth. They did remove the confirmation for Sprint though, which is nice.

App needs way more

How about an insert for the AC vent so it isn’t blocked by the dashboard and allow one to point the air on your face or above your head.

I’m the proud owner of a 2023 grand touring.
1-the center console lid doesn’t open wide enough for the driver to easily access the compartment.
2-On the driver side door the area where the driver rests their elbow/forearm has alcantara or suede as a covering. After about a year or so the material is already showing discernible signs of wear. Not a good choice!
3-Keep working on connectivity. Apple CarPlay is better but still not there. The connection between the car and my iPhone is also sketchy. Sometimes it works to open the car when I approach and other times not.
4-7000 miles and front motor whine is becoming more pronounced.
Minor irritants but still annoying enough for me to get through to you.
Thanks and I love the Air GT!

A light inside the glove compartment for searching at night time.
