OTA Update 2.1.43 - ROBUST THIS! - Important PSA to Update to 2.1.43 ASAP or RIP

This morning received 2.1.43 on Touring and updated in 2 minutes. Super fast update. No noticeable differences after driving.

Yay, I just got the 2.1.43 update - about 10 days after the first cars received it. So, I guess it takes a week or two sometimes.

This update was specifically to improve / make more robust future updates. From what I understand

A quick question for the experienced ones...

I saw the update come in on my Lucid app on my phone, and I quickly clicked to install it. However, my car is in the parking lot at work and is probably out of wifi range. The update seemed to work, and it only took about 5 minutes. However, I have always done other updates at home via wifi.

Is wifi important before accepting an OTA update?

I believe by the time you've gotten the notification, it's already been downloaded and the install is pending. Whether its on WiFi or cellular doesn't matter at that point.

This is the correct answer.

no.

Jugging by your car signatures it appears they are going down the model lane. First GTs and now Tourings. Hopefully Pures are next on the list.

I just got the 2.1.43 a few seconds after posting this.

I’m not sure that is the case. Sometimes the GT gets updates first and sometimes the Pure. The rollout logic is maddening to say the least.

It’s definitely not the case. We’ve debunked this theory several times already on the forum. The updates are rolled out randomly for the most part. They may target certain cars sometimes for specific reasons. And there are some specific cars marked for early release on a list somewhere. (You would imagine execs, some employees, certain VIPs get a little bit of early access, of course.) But normally trim has nothing to do with it. Nor does purchase date. Nor manufacture date. It’s just sent out in batches chosen at random by the server.

Got mine too… updated in < 5 minutes

Yep, just got notification for my Touring.
I'm pretty satisfied with the software - not really impatient about updates now (except Android Auto 🤣)

Although my car is spending the night at Goose Island, my phone notified me that the .43 upgrade was available. I tapped "install" and it updated 150 miles away. Pretty cool.
