I never got that email Tesla 2.0…I am here patiently waiting for my Cosmos Sliver touring model
I just got the news I have to upgrade to deeamdrive pro to get Highway assist….That’s another $9k….Not sure if it’s worth it…On the flip side I do enjoy the feature on my Model S ….Decisions Decisions

It is getting close. I think DD Pro is worth it for suits of sensors, but like Tesla FSD, you have to operate on faith. Currently that 360 view is just best in industry. Hope they come out more.

I agree Tesla2.0. I am planning to get the DDP for the sensors and the belief that we will keep getting more and more benefits as the software improves.

Where did you get this info? As outlined in other threads and on the Lucid website, Highway Assist is standard on DD, although DD Pro may have some additional features.

Highway *Pilot* will require DD Pro, which is handsfree driving.

I really hope "coming soon" is accurate, but I have my doubts. I stopped by a showroom a few weeks ago and an SA, who always seems knowledgeable, thought that they would start taking Touring orders in late September, maybe October. Last week the same SA said he/she was overly optimistic and probably will not start taking Touring orders until late this year and my September 2021 reservation would not be delivered until Summer 2023, maybe late Spring. Apparently part of the reason for the change is that they are getting a lot of new Grand Touring orders which keeps pushing back Touring production. As a shareholder I understand building the higher margin cars first but at some point it seems unfair to deliver new Grand Touring orders in eight weeks leaving Touring reservations from over a year ago out in the cold. I have a backup deposit on a Taycan which should arrive in November so I'll probably take the Taycan if I haven't at least been able to place the final order for the Touring when the Taycan arrives.

I agree I’m correct.

But yeah, there will be additional features for Highway Assist that are only in DD Pro, plus Highway Pilot and others that are exclusively DD Pro, but none that have been released yet.

I should be joining the Touring squad soon . I emailed yesterday evening to request to upgrade from my Pure reservation. If the upgrade goes smoothly I'll submit my info. Kind of excited!

If they start production of touring and pure in Dec as they said in the last quarter report, hopefully the first deliveries will be in Feb or Mar 23

There’s no way they are going to have that big of a moss on deliveries, they HAVE to start confirming specs in December at at least deliver in Q1 ‘23 or this company simply won’t make it. You simply cannot have those kinds of misses on your earnings reports.

I was their biggest promoter among my friends, love the design and team they assembled to lead it, but I’m entering my second year without a car waiting for them to deliver and they have been more disappointing than Covid was, while lucid keeps pushing out production rivian is expecting to accelerate production…

The offer to upgrade to GT at the original price expired back in the summer. They made that pretty clear.

Given they are finally ramping up, I find it an odd time to think they’d be falling further behind on Touring production. From what they’ve said about GT numbers for Q3, they are hitting their revised targets and are well poised to beat the 6-7k produced by end of year. I see no reason to suspect they won’t keep to their planned Pure and Touring production start by year’s end. Unless they say so explicitly at the quarterly meeting. What the reason for that would be is not within my grasp at this point.

They simply don’t have enough GT reservations to keep them busy for all of next year at their current rate, let alone once they add their second line.

And if they start Touring in early 2023, even, they should easily finish all reservations within six months, at most. Probably less. It’s a short list.

Also, they clearly aren’t idiots. They know Touring and Pure customers will walk if they don’t start rolling those trims off the line soon.

I think all Touring customers will have their cars well before the end of 2023.

Pures are another matter. Way more of those need to be built.
