Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

With 5 month old, low mile Grand Touring's available for sale for $110k, and most likely dropping another 10k by the time my wife's Pure becomes available, It is hard to justify waiting for a 2-3Q delivery of a Pure with less range and options.
Or Dream for 125k?

If you have kids riding in the back, tehy might appreciate the deeper footwells in the Pure. 100K for a GT is also a no brainer!
No kids. But I spent time on a long trip in the back of our DEP and had no problem. Wife is 5'4 so plenty of room for me to stretch in the back seat.

Bear's Workshop posted a flyover of Lucid on YouTube this afternoon and stated that he saw over 100 Pures parked and in several different colors. It's finally happening!
I saw it but I think they were hard top Touring. There were no Phantom Blue cars which is to be the first production run of the Pure. I could be wrong and they could be pre-production to prep the assembly line. But I did receive my Pure VIN and “in production” notice on 3/3 - Phantom Blue , etc

My DA called me early last month and told me that my fully loaded Pure would be in production at the end of February and likely delivered in mid March. I was hoping that one of those is a black Pure waiting for me. Wishful thinking. My Dashboard still says "Preparing for Production". I'm an eternal (impatient) optimist.

just curious - did you get an insurance quote yet?

Just got my VIN in the middle of a cruise. Don’t expect the car to be delivered for a while, so I’m waiting until we are back in NJ

Some were definitely Hard Top touring cause the turbine 21s don’t come on pure as option :

Ordered a Pure 8/22 with a configuration that conforms to Derek's specs and just received the VIN today.

Anyone know the lead-time for delivery after receiving VIN?

Gentlemen,

Any further Pure deliveries after the first small group in December? Now that the first group of owner had their pures and have driven them for a couple of months, I'd be interested in their feedback to see good and bad. Currently finalized order & config, but on the fence about whether to take delivery or not? Anyone else on the fence?

Thanks.

Your post prompted me to look for a thread that may address that. Under General Discussion I found "Feedback/Improvements for your Air" with 34 pages. I'm going to check it out myself. Probably most are pre-Pure postings.

I thought @noobzilla had some very helpful posts and pictures regarding his pure. They were pretty instrumental for me in deciding what I wanted.

I posted here.

Haven't encountered major issues after my initial review. Had some problems like screen going blank after turning on 360 view but that was fixed by switching profiles. Only remaining issue I have is the trunk misalignment but Lucid is aware and had already offered to come and fix it but I told them to hold off while I test other things and make sure there's no other problems. Several software updates have arrived since owning the car. I'm optimistic my experience will just get better over time.

I did DIY ceramic coating. Have not needed a car wash. I bought a 2 gallon garden pump spray to rinse the car then wipe with microfiber towels. After a rainy day I would just use my electric leaf blower then wipe off the remaining water. Looks good as new.

Interior does get hot on a hot sunny day. Considering anti heat ceramic coating for the windows and/or tinting.

3D mats are great! Rear mats for Pure/Touring not yet available but the GT mats work fine. Not 100% perfect fit but good enough (pics here). Added some small towels in the middle. Link here.

Yesterday, picked up my red AT and saw a Fathom blue Air Pure at Houston Center, it is very beautiful congrats to its owners, I originally ordered the same one but upgraded to Touring last month.

Didn't mean to come across that way, that is even better, increases the popularity(look for Oscar's ad tomorrow Sunday 8pm ET) of the car. There was some past discussions about this car being a head turner, but only middle-aged men are drawn to this car(or based on affordability).

What option, if I may ask? The first group is Derek's specs, followed by AWD and then RWD. I'm in AWD with Stellar white.

It is fully loaded in Infinity Black. My initial reservation was October 2021

Thanks for the update. Since the spreadsheet is no longer maintained this gives us some idea of what to expect. I wonder if the mods can setup a spreadsheet to allow us to update our own status?
