Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

Actually, I just received this email. I will probably call the sales desk just in case I have any questions. I would like to change the color from Infinite Black to Fathom Blue.

Anyone else receive a 10 day warning email to finalize their design? Yet it doesn't seem possible to see the fathom blue in anything but pictures. Even the sample colors in the studio does not show the blue.

Yes - I got the same email. 10 days to finalize design or will lose original pricing.

Rivian leaked inside after a carwash....now that is very very concerning! I would take software issues over that anyday!

I drove our R1T though one of the worst rain storms in South Florida with high mile winds and never had any leaks. I use a power washer to wash the car and have not had any problems with water ingress.

Our R1S is also solid build, good fit and finish, no leak, nice interior with huge panoramic glass roof like Air, not plastic everywhere minimalist style like some EV brands.

I asked my SA about this last week, and he said they didn't have any samples and he didn't have any idea when they would have them. He seems pretty clueless about basically any question I had. Maybe I need to change my SA.

SA are there to be a point of contact, my SA, is lost…. Not very educated in the vehicle. Their hiring standard, are very low, for what I saw in south Florida .

Kudos to Peter from the Lucid Studio in Manhasset for bringing out a car to my house to check out speed bumps within the community and the fit in my garage. The car fit surprisingly well with room to spare in the garage and handled both my driveway and the speed humps very well. This was an AT on 21" wheels, so I'd assume 19s would fare just as well if not better.

Those were 2 areas of concern of mine and all was well.

I believe that reservation is the last sort to determine when the car goes to production. The first sort "is the car in production?" For example, RWD will not be available until Q3. The next sort is "What generates the most money for Lucid". So, if you order all the options you come before a base model order. Lastly, when was the car reserved/ordered/finalize design (Production order).

I agree. I reserved for the Pure with the configuration that is most readily available which is AWD etc. Just noticed that a few members already took delivery of the Pure despite having a later reservation date. I'm sure there's a lot more to it behind the scenes but it's just a surprising observation for me.

I agree. I reserved for the Pure with the configuration that is most readily available which is AWD etc. Just noticed that a few members already took delivery of the Pure despite having a later reservation date. I'm sure there's a lot more to it behind the scenes but it's just a surprising observation for me.

The same happened to me a year ago with my GR. Had an early reservation and confirmed it as soon as I got the email. The issue lies in that the production line works in batches. If it is not your color or interior in production, you just have to wait. I also had the unfortunate issue of the “grey delay” where they made all the other colors (except silver) first because they were having problems with the Grey pieces matching. That added 4 months extra to my wait time. Don’t worry. The batches will be processed and you will be in that Air very soon!

I made my Pure reservation Oct. 17, 2020. Confirmed my order with thhe “first-to-production configuration. March. 3 had my VIN and “in production” notice on my dashbboard.. Hope yours is coming soon.

With 5 month old, low mile Grand Touring's available for sale for $110k, and most likely dropping another 10k by the time my wife's Pure becomes available, It is hard to justify waiting for a 2-3Q delivery of a Pure with less range and options.

Bear's Workshop posted a flyover of Lucid on YouTube this afternoon and stated that he saw over 100 Pures parked and in several different colors. It's finally happening!

If you have kids riding in the back, tehy might appreciate the deeper footwells in the Pure. 100K for a GT is also a no brainer!
