I have to wonder when the pencils are going to end. Is this really sustainable? I think Lucid has enough on its plate just trying to get cars on the road. They can let the pencils go, as far as I'm concerned.

Very true. I’ve never even used mine. They didn’t come sharpened and I don’t own a sharpener. I guess I could make a trip to the dollar store lol. A nice pen would have been a useful flex in my office.

I nearly missed it. They had to go into the system to revert to old price because I thought it was just the reservation part. By chance, I had asked two days before the cutoff...

Sorry, local terminology in reply to a member here who had lived in Chicago.

There is a small triangle shaped park on N Rush St near some well known high end dining and drinking establishments (Tavern on Rush, Gibson's Steak House, Hugo's Frog Bar). Lots of older, well heeled types frequent the area for dating purposes let's say. Many folks dine outdoors at Tavern on Rush and they often have some cool rides in the valet spot. Last week they has a super clean black 356 Speedster there when I passed by.

I took the GT-P out again this evening (different neighborhoods) for family dinner out. Our local son hadn't seen it yet. He commented on how huge and roomy the back seating is, enjoyed the heated seats (our first car with heated rear seats) and the pleasant smell of leather.

He also liked the welcome lighting sequence the car goes through in the evening when you return to it.

This is the first car since the 84 CRX that my wife has taken an interest in, and she is quickly getting familiarized with the features. She got a big laugh from the massaging seats.

Lots of folks staring at the car with the WTF is that kind of look on their faces.

The nav was better behaved this time, probably because we only deviated from the route once (due to a street being blocked for a block party).

Parallel parking is very much aided by all the cameras, my wife comments that she could see the shoes of a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk next to where I was parking the car.

The safety stuff is pretty interesting (compare/contrast to my 9 year old semi-autonomous Q50S Hybrid AWD). The lane guidance shows a red vertical line on the side of the car where you are crossing into the next lane. When pulling out of a parking space, the haptic stuff kicks in very strongly if the car senses you are too close to the car in front of you as you are pulling out. Basically stops the car and forces you to decide again if you have enough room.

I’ve only had my car two days and I’m learning stuff already!
  1. There IS a mute function for the onboard navigation after all! Thank god.
  2. My SA in Costa Mesa CA, Mark, said that satellite imagery would be available on the navigation system in “the next update”. I discovered just this afternoon that it’s already there.
  3. There is no auto dim for the high beams. Bummer.
  4. The music and entertainment system is glitchy.
  5. I really, really do wish there was more fore and aft travel in the steering column.
  6. Alexa and Siri are, okay…
  7. The car is a hoot to drive! Especially on the freeway, charging from 65 mph to 100.

Hi All,

Finally, I got my car delivered, I picked up the car at the West Palm Beach delivery/service center on Sep 27, 2022. It was not a fanfare delivery that day due to heavy rains and of course, that location is not attached to a Design Center. The DA did a good job clarifying all questions and helping us with the delivery checklist and final test drive. I drove back to NC on a 650+ miles ride after the delivery. It was a great ride back but had a few issues that I observed:
1. Car was not taking full capacity of the charging stations... message was Station limited the charging capacity - Not sure what that means. All charges were between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM
2. My left and right indicator camera views, and 360-degree view on reverse stopped functioning.. looks like a simple software fix
3. Car didn't lock or unlock if I walk away with my phone closer or away from the car. Maybe I need to find what's missing.
4. The overall range was very low. I just spoke to an agent on a support call and she suggested that range will improve as I drive more. Some new concept of battery break-in, the agent suggested this will change as I drive the car. The expected break-in range for the battery is 2500 miles.

Is everyone experiencing the same thing or it's just me?
