Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Grand Touring

Delivery scheduled for Tuesday morning. Sending a car to pick me up to come down to meatpacking. I got the front plate installed. I didn’t on my 911 TTS but it’s easier on that to attach the plate without bolting. I had a neighbor report me to the police when I parked a Macan I used to own on my street while the driveway was getting done! plus the police can hassle you over the bridges. So, I’m having it attached. Anyway, super excited for delivery!

Took delivery today. Car is awesome. Had some problems with multiple profiles and the car has a couple of gap issues. The good thing is the gap issues are consistent on both sides of the car! Hoping that they will be dealt with.

I am debating the same thing in NJ
Also in NJ and I'm not having them put it on. I am going to order the wrap/sticker plate, but don't intend to put it on unless I have a problem. I have been looking and there are a ton of cars with NJ plates that have no front plate.

Yeah TX also “requires” the front plate but I’ve gone the past 4+ years without one on my BMW, so I’m not getting the front bracket installed on my AirGT.

Curious, did anyone receive more than two VINs before taking delivery? I received my first VIN August 9, with a 3 to 7 week delivery estimate. After 6 weeks, the car was still at the factory, not complete. My DA then gave me my second VIN, the VIN was 300 lower, for a just completed vehicle, ready for transport. Two days later, I received the purchase agreement which, on inspection, had a different VIN, 400 lower than the second VIN. This car is due to arrive today, for Friday delivery. I am assuming that both replacement VINs Lucid assigned to me were from cancelled orders, one of which was already on a car hauler. Lucid will still miss the 7 week VIN to delivery timeline, without any explanation. However, the delay works in my favor as I had to relocate to FL to take delivery. D

My friend just got his Tesla. After an 8 month wait, they told him his car was ready for delivery and gave him a delivery date of 8/29. They kept changing it without explanation until he just picked it up on Friday. Right now Lucid is killing it with VINS and deliveries.

Okay, silly question. I know what the bottom piece is for (hanging charging cable) but what is the top thing for?

My car was delivered today. Ordered December 21, confirmed March 2. I found two little issues: a tiny bit of silver paint overspray on the top edge of the back glass, and the silver scuff pads were loose where the trunk closes. We pressed the strips down and they seemed to hold. Scraped the paint off the glass with my fingernail. Drove the car about 100 miles today and it performed perfectly. Turned lots of heads in downtown Nashville!

heads are turning everywhere I go. There has not been a single stop that has not elicited a wow or "can I take a picture."

Congratulations and enjoy it in the best of health
Thank you. The rear monitor is working. There has to be a passenger in the back for the monitor to power up so the only issues I have are the uneven panels. After driving around for about 100 miles, I am really loving this car. Very smooth and quiet ride... I love the cockpit and pilot panel. Everything is very easy to find. I also think that it takes a much shorter time to learn all the controls. The only problem I had so far was this motorcycle following me in the shopping center parking lot. When I parked and entered the store, he stopped behind the car and took a few pictures. lol My license plate will be EX TESLA...

Can someone please direct me to the delivery checklist? My Pop is taking delivery on Thursday and I can't find it.

Just got the Lucid emailed invitation to apply for financing, which I will not require. Not sure what to expect regarding the timing of delivery. Confirmed order on March 30 for a CS/SC AGT. Should note that a very helpful forum member gave me a demo and drive as well as a lot of guidance on systems and charging the other day. I have relied on information on this forum since earlier this year on the AGT. Until then I had just seen the car from the outside at the Boston studio. This is an uncommonly good forum based on lots of experience on other forums over the years on Porsche, Audi, MB, and BMW. The AGT will be a whole new automotive experience for me, albeit more zenned out, but more dynamically capable than all but one of my former ICE cars.
