Open letter to Lucid after 29 months of ownership

Adding my vote. This should be the longest thread on the forum!
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help release Android Auto. ;)

Time for one (or a gang) of the Bay Area owners to pay a visit to a company in Mountain View with some bats in hand and start demanding the approval of AA.

This can either go smoothly or get nasty Google! 😂

one day they will feature lucid in horror movies;
man dragging axe chasing girl.
girl runs to car, but passive unlock wont open
you know the rest.

but yes, I still love my Lucid!

Or…

car unlocks
Girl enters car and tries to put in drive
Doesn’t work, see’s “No Key Detected” message
Window gets smashed
We know the rest :p

Let’s give lucid nerds a little time. They already achieved very high scores in handling and love towards the piece that we own/lease. Things take role beyond basics (Pillars). If pillars are strong, 💪 on a long run others things are just a matter of time to be addressed.

No need to smash the window. When girl enters car all doors are unlocked.

Man with axe, "What kind a car is that?"
girl, "It;s a Lucid"
man with axe, "Yeah, but who makes it?"
girl, " Lucid makes it."

man with axe " ..... I mean ...??? uh ... It's beautiful.... can I look inside?
girl: " just a moment ..." waves key fob around pillar camera ... nothing happens..
man with axe, "I have an axe ..."

I love my Lucid Air GT ... am currently back on the Gravity configurater looking at wheel / color options ... maybe I should ask / tell the wife this time.

Adding my voice to the choir. Best experience in my near 60 years of driving, starting with my Dad's 1960 White Plymouth with tails -- Amen!

I think the 1950's was the decade during which car design evolved at the fastest pace. I was just reminiscing last night on another thread about a 1953 Crown Imperial limo I almost bought in the 1970's. When I looked for a photo of that model, I found this:

I can't think of another 7-year period in which the whole automotive design landscape shifted so far so fast.

27 months of ownership and Bobby is right. There is nothing about the car or the company and its staff that is not optimal. No, not perfect but optimal. We are also fortunate to have such an engaged and supportive community of owners. The owners' perspective is unusually well informed by their ownership of other exceptional vehicles and thus appreciation for design, technology, and most of all dynamic capability. In the broader context of automotive history, we are fortunate to be part of Lucid's journey.

1951 Crosley Super Sports aka "Hot Shot" America's first sport car. Yes, this is a real car, not a kid's toy. It had 4-wheel disc brakes. $850.
Crosley

I love my Lucid Air GT (Sept'22 build)

What I particularly love about Lucid is the company itself. OK, I love the car more, but the company is amazing. Their first car / ground-up engineering... and Peter's ethic imbue the whole company. Just wow. Won't even consider another car builder.

Had the good fortune to live close enough to Corporate Headquarters in Newark, CA to visit the mock up of the Sales Centers yet to come in August of 2020. With masks on my wife and I got the tour of the showroom and immediately placed the $1,000 refundable deposit on an Air Touring. A mere 2 1/2 years later our Lucid arrived. Coming up on 2 years of ownership and this is the best car I have ever owned in my 77 years on this planet.

28 months in with my Lucid and quite frankly I am somewhat bemused when I see topics about software, seriously folks??

The AGT is my DD, it's outdoors 24/7/365, it is driven on the cruel expressways and streets of Chicago daily, it goes through automatic car washes a couple of times a week, I can slice, dice, and hit holes in rush hour traffic like Barry Sanders on AstroTurf all while listening to the superb sound system and getting the best car massage that I have ever had!! After 29,000 miles of broken and potholed pavement the body and chassis is still as tight as when it was delivered to my office September 22, 2022, that's right delivered just like the few times when the car has gone in for service and a loaner is dropped off and my AGT is picked up, I've owned a number of executive Bahn Burners and have had very good service experiences with them but they never had the level of service and care that Lucid has delivered.

Now with all these truly great experiences I have had daily with the car; should I whine that on occasion I may have to wait 2 or 3 seconds for the door handles to flip up? Fuck I doubt it.

2 years owning a Lucid Touring, not a single rattle or a squeak....and on top of that, the best vehicle I ever owned! Maginificent achievement by Lucid. Who cares about a little mundane software issue?

LOVE your post!!! Couldn’t agree more!!!!!

It's snowed during the Eagles game vs the LA Ashes. We were in the city for Meeting... and because it's third First Day, we had to stay for Meeting for Business. Sleet started about 1 PM but we made it home by 3 PM in just wet conditions. Then we watched the Eagles vs La Rams game and it snowed.

The wife has a Mazda 6 FWD ( one wheel drive) and it's not expected to be anywhere near the freezing point of water this week. I mean ... Canadian cold. I've been driving her car...it's not just rwd (right rear only)... it's worse. This is what made me realize: I need to get her an AWD car ... for her safety

... she needs a Sapphire.

for her safety

I've given up on getting a DDP ... I'm all in.

Let me know if that argument works. Can't remember if you already have a Lucid Air.

Will use it with mine to skip the Gravity if you have any luck. Something about in house traction control and all that.
