Hello fellow Lucid Air owners!

I currently have no internet connectivity on my ‘25 AGT. This includes both Cellular and Wi-Fi. On Wi-Fi, it always defaults to off, and when turned on, it just spins without detecting any network. I did call customer service (which have been great)…we tried both ‘Air’ reset and Brake+X+Mic reset, but both did not fix the issue. Decision was to ask a mobile tech come by to reset the TCU, but his next availability is in 2 weeks. Service center availability is in February according to the mobile tech.

Other posts suggests that car be left overnight to let it go to “sleep”…did that for a few nights, but the problem persists. If anyone else knows of other things to try, can you let me know please?

Other symptoms include:
- “Vehicle Offline” message on mobile app all the time now (although I see an occasional update on the “Last update x minutes ago”, but no actual updated information)
- Navigation defaults to Newark HQ and can’t show my actual location
- No SiriusXM
- HomeLink seems flaky
- No software updates, I’m on 2.5.3 but heard there’s a 2.5.4?
- I guess in short, anything requiring any Internet, GPS, satellite activity is not working

Apple CarPlay and Keys work fine though. I guess Bluetooth is not affected and I assume Wireless Apple CarPlay is through a different Wi-Fi connection.

If only there’s a way to reset the TCU myself…which I did see someone post some info about that, but I’m sure will probably void my warranty.

And as usual driving works absolutely flawlessly and has been a complete joy.

If you made it this far, thank you for reading my post and enjoy your ride on Air!

Call someone at the service center, and have a conversation with them again; tell them you need your TCU reset, you know it takes literally a minute, and ask nicely if you can swing by. If you can, ask if a tech could come out for a minute and quickly reset the TCU for you. If that doesn't work, you're happy to drive away in the same state it was in and wait the 2 weeks. (Also, then it really would be a service issue)

That would be my suggestion.

I have mine in for service right now for the 2nd time with this issue. It's the telematics device that needs to be reset (which affects LTE, WIFI, and GPS). I'm not sure at this point if they replaced mine or just reset it. First time it was just reset, but I know it's fixed as of this morning as I can connect to the car from my phone again. If the device is fine they can reset it quickly as Borski said should take less than 10 minutes if you can find someone to take a quick look.

Agree that it is real quick. Mine took less than 1 minute after the seats were folded and the tech did it pretty much his eyes closed!

There's a Software section that overs different ways you can do a reset:
I used the info there to reboot my MY25 AirGT to get Sirius XM working again.

Unfortunately the only way to resolve this is to have the TCU reset. Currently no soft reset (air logo or otherwise) will reset the TCU. This can only be done with a LDS tool or via a hard reset. (i.e. unplug it). It is recommended that you make an appointment with service to determine the issue so that Lucid can document and fix it. Currently there is a software issue that apparently has an impending fix (hope in the next update) that results in no connectivity / GPS. Lucid service will need to determine if you are experiencing a documented case. Once you have completed your service appointment and if the fix has not been released then you can use this method for future issues. Everytime I park the damn car, it drops offline. Impossible to monitor charging from the App if its offline. This seemed to start about the time that Lucid updated the iOS App to V2.0. Has anyone else noticed this?

Is it connected to WiFi? If so, try disabling that, assuming you have decent ATT signal where you park.

Anyone notice that with no WiFI and no mobile data, the speed maximums displayed are all incorrect / random? (randomly high in most cases)

Thanks for your post @Gleano...it explains a lot.

(just read it again and yeah, me too)

This happened to me 3 times. The only workaround I found was keeping the Wifi off. That seems to avoid triggering this well-known bug.

This just started happening to me, too. '22 AGT.
Really random. Not tied to any update or event I could think of - got a car wash yesterday, but even then it was fine on the way home. No access to native streaming music apps or GPS. But BT connection works and FM radio is working well enough that the kids are only complaining when commercials come up! I'll see about getting the TCU reset at the service center.

My vehicle is in the service center, and I'm driving a loaner now. To test this issue on a different car, I turned on the wifi on in this vehicle and treated it the same way I treat my car. So far, it hasn't lost connectivity, which suggests this bug is not "that" universal, or at least what triggers it isn't. (I could avoid losing connectivity if I kept the wifi off in my garage.)
