Next update?

Yea ive given up on that ever happening. The fact that they completely changed the orientation and everything. It’s not going to happen. Just like when Tesla released the model 3/Y, all their investment went into landscape UI enhancements. The portrait UI of the legacy S/X became second fiddle. Even though they still get some of the updates, it’s very obviously the unloved child of the software team lol
I am also very confident that the Gravity UX will roll down to Air. Certainly feature like programmable buttons that are hardware related will not but most of it will. It should be a great update. I also do not expect it until summer. I hope that Lucid beats my guess and delivers it to Air in the Spring.

We’ll see. I disagree with your assumption. I think the coming update is taking longer BECAUSE it’s going to incorporate most of the features in Gravity. We’ll see. Respectfully, I hope you are wrong. I am basing my assumption on several interviews with Peter Rawlinson in which he indicated as much…
To clarify…I meant the next significant update (like 3.X), there may well be another version update first to fix some bugs, small stuff, etc. But I wholeheartedly believe that big update will happen and that Air will not be orphaned.

Of course, what I believe is worth less than the electrons used to display this message on your screen!!!

The main thing from Gravity UX i want is being able to split up having apps for top and bottom panel. I.e. having maps going up top and having media down on the lower panel. And then just make the whole thing like 5x faster/more stable haha

The danger is its slower on cars older than the 2025 models, given the Gravity has a faster processor.

I agree, quirks aside I think the major thing I want is the multiple apps running. Apart from that I’m relatively happy with the UX.

I hope there is room for optimization on pre<2025 cars
Other than AA, the wish list consists of items that were never promised, but desireable. We all need to prepare ourselves that they may simply be done adding new features to their older models. I personally hope not, but the possibility indeed exists.

Agree. V2H is still missing but yeah, anything else will just be icing on the cake.

You can say so. But Lucid has shown Level 3 possibility and all those sensors and capabilities in the car. With that said we cannot say Lucid promised anything. Its true they dindt promised but they showed or advertised what Lucid can do and they are above Tesla in hardware suite indirectly. This is a fact and Lucid will hold on it and will deliver, the only question is when?

true...would be a shame for those who paid $9k for DDP to get nothing out of it....i hope they will deliver some advanced hands-free ADAS features eventually

I would put DDPro as an outlier given the upfront price paid based on "future OTA's" I do expect that to continue to evolve over time with some fine tuning and maybe some additional features etc. To be fair, they have added things to DDPro since shipping also.

When it comes to the UX\UI portions Lucid is really only missing AA so if anything else is added put it in the win category. The V2H was promised on day 1 also so hopefully that makes it way to the Air at some point. But yeah, apart from dealing with the little bugs and getting stability into the system Lucid really doesn't owe us much more than that. Not saying we're going to get kicked to the curb but something to keep in mind as we may see some things show up in the Gravity that the Air simply can't do due to performance/processor constraints etc.

Do you think what has been delivered to date for HA is all you expected for $9k? I would say no… lane keeping and lane changes is table stakes/standard equipment on Toyotas and Hyundais these days

What else would you want? They have intimated that they will be adding a hands-off functionality in the future. Personally, I have no desire for the car to drive me around town and have a video game display like in a Tesla.

Its not about comparing to other manufacturers. With 9k option what is was delivered compared to what was shown when DDP was announced. With a compromise nothing moto, as a consumer i dont want to compromise too. As said multiple times Lucid can deliver this and they planned with incorporating all the hardware in the car. Its just as Peter accepted, they are not upto the mark on software. But yet we are here debating there is nothing to be deleivered ☹️

i think its a personal preference but we cannot say Lucid has nothing to deliver from Software perspective.

I agree on driving dynamic”there is nothing to be expected more than what we have and anything over that is a steal”

I didn't say they have nothing to deliver ... what I said was that the car that we purchased has all of the promised features except AA (and V2H), both of which I'm hoping are coming soon. We may desire additional features and functionality, but expecting them is a mistake.

Yes, but the advertised materials and futured OTA information says there is so much missing still. And yes Lucid will deliver and i 110% deliver they will. What we are trying to say is/was they are taking too much time. As a Lucid believer i dont want Lucid to loose for the competition out. Also i am posting this here since Lucid team are watching our forum and this will help them as a feedback.

Well interesting…looking at Lucid’s website. Dreamdrive Pro is now a $2500 option. Which I think is acceptable now for the current suite of support it has. And you’re right, it doesn’t appear Lucid promises anything either regards to future functionality anymore.

Sucks for those that paid $9k for the same thing, but I guess it’s the same as people paying so much more in 2022/2023 for Air Touring/GTs

Yeah the price has dropped significently over the years. Disappointing for those who paid the $10K but it is what it is at this point.
